Betty's Point Of View-
"Do you miss them?" Lisa asked me looking at the picture of me and the gang at the top of the waterfall in our underwear that I had framed on my desk.
"Like crazy, they're the only family I have left" I sighed looking at the picture.
"Talk me through it, who's this one" she said pointing at Cheryl.
"That's cheryl, she's my cousin, we've been more like best friends since we were born, every memory I have she's in the background of it" I smiled and then she pointed to Toni.
"And that's her girlfriend Toni, I met her on the first day of southside high, my mom had just died, and I had to move there, she was my first friend" I smiled at the memory of the pink haired girl in my English class.
"What about this guy, with his arm around the black haired girl." She asked me now pointing at pea and Veronica.
"Well the girl is called Veronica, I met Ronnie when we were about 5, she had these pearls around her neck, and I thought they were really pretty, so I asked her about them and she smiled, gave me the pearls, my mom made me give them back because they were real pearls and ever since, she's been my bestie" I sighed, remembering the black haired infant with the tiny pearls around her neck.
"And the guy, that's sweet pea, I met him on the first day of south side too, he referred to me as fresh meat" I chuckled.
"Charming" Lisa laughed.
"He actually is, he won the heart of Ronnie, and she was whipped on Archie Andrews from Riverdale high for like six years, he must be doing something right" I laughed. And then looked over to Fangs on the photo.
"And this is Fangs, he is sweetpeas best friend, since forever, also the best gay in the world, has never really had a relationship, but he is a love guru, it's his natural calling" I giggled.
"And then there leaves Jughead, how did you meet him? I've been dying to ask about that rock on your finger, and that jacket you have, and those tattoo, your a mystery cooper" she said walking over to the mini fridge in the corner and handing me a beer.
"It's a long story..." I sighed but she sat down on her bed, and I sat down on mine adjacent.
"Got all the time in the world" she said leaning back on the pillows that were supporting her, but still facing me.
"Well you know how I said my mom died" I asked and she nodded, reaching over to turn the lamp on and I noticed how dark it looked outside.
"I was there, in the room, when she died, and I freaked out, had the biggest panic attack of my life, and someone calmed me down, lay in a hospital bed with me all night, shushing me and telling me it was all going to be okay, bearing in mind I didn't see who it was." I said and took a swig of beer getting up and going over to get my jacket out of the small closet.
"The next morning, all's I saw was a jacket like this leaving the room, and when I ran out to thank whoever it was, they were gone, and I got shipped off to a home on the southside." I said putting my jacket back into the wardrobe.
"What's the southside?" She asked me looking up and fixing her hair, leaning against the wall.
"Well in Riverdale, there is the northside, where like the posh people live, if you will. And then there's the southside, sure there gangs and criminals there but it's just the reputation" I said and she nodded along with the story.
"So before my mom died, she reached out to her friend, to look after me because she knew she was going to go, and he is the sweetest man ever, he lived alone, just his son to keep him company, in the tiniest trailer." I laughed, this trip down memory lane was making me abit emotional.
"The son was Jughead wasn't it?" She said the excitement in her voice as I nodded.
"Yup" I grinned, I missed this, girl time.
"Don't leave it there girl spill." She said throwing the small fluffy pillow at me.
"He was the popular southside rebel, he was one of those guys who every one loved. And I didn't know it when I got there, but like everyone informed me that he's never had eyes for anyone, never had a girlfriend, hooked up with girls, never called them back, but I wouldn't think that from the minute I met him he was so sweet, he was flirty but he looked out for me. Like sweet pea, when he called me fresh meat, Jughead punched him" I laughed and she laughed too.
"How romantic" Lisa laughed.
"It's like, everyone knew him as the bad boy, from the southside, who everyone was scared of, girls wanted to be with him and boys wanted to be him, and for some reason he has never been anything but sweet to me, that's how I know it's really real" I blushed.
"So your marrying him?" She asked and I looked down at my ring.
"Mrs Jughead Jones as soon as I graduate" I smirked.
"It was him wasn't it, at the hospital that night." She said swigging her beer again.
"Yeah it was, see what I mean about from the minute I met him he was nothing but kind. He slept on the floor for about 4 months so I could have the only bed in the trailer and his dad was staying on the couch. He gave me his shirt when a coke fizzed all over me so boys would see my boobs through my top, he's just the best" I gushed.
"I wish, I could find somebody like that, that truly loves me" Lisa sighed.
"I don't even know how I ended up with it to be honest" I laughed and she just sat there smirking at me.
"What?" I laughed. And she looked over to my phone that was lit up on the table.
"Hey baby girl, you up for dinner?" She read out and I grinned.
"I can take a rain check, I know we were having a girls night" I bit my lip.
"Bring me back left overs and we're square" she laughed.
"Jughead can eat for days that will be hard" I laughed pulling on a skirt off the floor and white crop top, showing my serpents tattoo and my 2 0 1 8 tattoo. Then my jacket then my dr martens, and sprayed some perfume on.
As if one que he knocked on the door and Lisa opened it, and rolled her eyes.
"Life would be so much easier if you liked me Lisa" Jughead rolled his eyes at her.
"Well life isn't easy" she shrugged pushing past him and winking at me from behind him.
"You ready baby girl" he asked me.
"Yep, Chinese?" I asked him.
"I was thinking pops" he grinned and my mouth dropped open, and he started to laugh, dragging me out into the parking lot, to a car full of people. My people.
