Betty's Point Of View-

I think I got a total of 45 minutes sleep. The party got out of hand and everyone was still in the living room whilst me and Jughead were comfortably asleep in our bed. What happened to Cinderella going to the ball until midnight, not 6am.

"Morning baby girl" I heard Jughead say and smelt coffee and I smiled and took a sip. I hadn't even noticed he got out of bed.

"I took a bunch of your clothes to the girls they're all getting ready for school, I suggest you do the same" he smiled planting a kiss on my forehead. I groaned but as per usual he was right, so I got up and threw on my black leggings and Jugheads "get naked and go wild" t shirt on. I scraped my hair back into a bun and hid my eyes with large sunglasses and my jacket.

Of course, Jughead didn't look any different, his usual sexy self.

"Well don't you look cute as a button" he said kissing my nose and I just leaned into his chest and groaned.

"How can I look cute when I'm hungover and look like shit" I almost cried, feeling the sleep deprivation.

"You look so hot" he reassured me and I looked up at him and grinned.

"Don't lie to me Jones, it's your fault I'm in this mess" I said rubbing my head and out of no where he passed me a bottle of Advil.

I took it and downed the rest of my coffee and went out to see the girls all dressed similarly to me.

"Well at least we all look like shit" Toni laughed lighting a cigarette.

"I can't believe we're going to school like this" sweet pea said getting up off the couch and heading to the door, everyone trailing behind him.

We all walked in a big group and all the girls stopped to take photo of us all hun over messes. This is how we should be all the time.

"I like us like this better than when where all dressed up" I admitted trailing through the south side streets into the north side.

"I like you all better when your not dressed at all" sweet pea said.

"Are you trying to make me vomit" Cheryl faked borked and we all laughed.

After a while I decided I didn't want to walk anymore so I stopped to sit on the bench.

"Don't do this Betty" Jughead laughed.

"What's she doing?" Sweet pea said standing in front of me.

"Classic Betty" Veronica and Cheryl giggled.

"She's sitting down so someone picks her up and carries her" Jughead sighed picking me up and I immediately wrapped my legs around his waist.

"Thankyou" I laughed wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You owe me one" he laughed up at me.

"You owe me one hundred dollars" I giggled as we turned the corner to school.

"Forget about it" he sighed as he carried me up the steps and popped me down in front of the doors.

"See you losers at break" Cheryl said going up the hall hand in hand with Toni.

"Usual spot people" Veronica said holding fangs hand and liking arms with sweet pea.

"You ready" I asked Juggie.

"As I'll ever be baby girl" he said taking my hand and leading me down the hall, I turned and lead him into English where he went to take a seat at the back.

"Mr Jones" the teacher mr Phillips said.

"The one and only" Jughead smiled as I took my seat next to him, all eyes were on us and I felt myself blush at Jugheads audacity, swanning in late and then just putting his feet up on the table. Then again it was hot.

"So nice of you to join us, Romeo and Juliet Okay?" Mr Phillips said putting the book down on the table in front of him.

"Did you write this yourself or are you just really excited about it" Jughead laughed opening the book and flicking through the pages.

"They warned me about you" mr Phillips rolled his eyes and made his way back to the front.

"Uh Phil" Jughead raised his hand and I turned to look at him stifling a laugh.

"Yes Jughead" mr Phillips said exasperated.

"Somebody's drew a penis on this page" he laughed and I snorted and everyone laughed too.

"Well maybe you can re write the whole book word for word in detention with me after school, then you won't be so offended by any graffiti on the pages" mr Phillips said smugly.

"Can't make it Phil, but maybe next time" Jughead laughed and the teacher walked to the front clicking play on the laptop and Romeo and Juliet appeared on the screen.

The lights went out and everyone started falling asleep or going on their phones but Jughead was intensely engrossed in the movie on the screen, listening to the words, I've never seen him so still, taking everything in. My legs were draped over his and his hand was on my thigh and he was leaning back in his chair.

"Let's run away" he whispered in the darkness.

"What" I whispered back leaning closer to him.

"Let's go some places, see the world, start our story, we can't let Riverdale tie us down, if we don't get out it's going to be the serpents and trouble for the rest of our lives" he whispered his eyes still on the film.

"We'll end up like them" he said pointing to the screen.

"Nobody wants us together, northsiders and south siders are like the montagues and the capulets, if we don't get out soon, we'll be tore apart, or end up dead, I didn't realise it until I went away but being in a gang is serious shit. It's not always peaceful." He said now staring down at me, only the light from the screen illuminating his face, the look in his eyes ,it was serious.

"We're better than Riverdale, even though this is home, I want to keep you safe, the last six months have taught me that, nothing killed me more than the thought of you getting hurt. There is nothing else in Riverdale for me, but you. And I want you in my life forever and I'm not risking your life by staying here, I love you baby girl, but we need to go" he said putting his hand over mine.

"We will, when we graduate, I'll runaway with you, I love you too, I didn't realise you actually wanted a future with me, but I want one with you, and if that means running away with you, I trust you enough to take me someplace safe, that's not Riverdale, where there's no serpents or ghoulies, northside or south side, where we have a chance to be us" I whispered leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Like Romeo and Juliet but we get to live happily ever after instead" I sighed and we both sat in silence, watching the two star crossed lovers die in each others arms.

"For never was a story of more woe, than Juliet and her Romeo"
