Jugheads Point Of View-

An hour as never crawled as slow as it has, we were exactly 57 minutes into our detention and I couldn't take the silence any more.

"Hank!" I sighed, Betty was laying on the table with her head phones in I'm pretty sure she was asleep and hank came over and stood in front of us, looking down at Betty and then to me.

"Yeah, you're way less scary when you speak by the way" he chuckled nervously standing in front of me.

"You know who I am?" I laughed.

"Everybody does, your like royalty round here" hank laughed.

"Oh" I said.

"Anyway, come sit with us, it doesn't look like you're having much fun over there on your own" I said pulling out a chair and he sat on it.

Betty started to sing her song and hank just smiled at her.

"She's gorgeous" hank blurted out and then threw his hand over his mouth. I just looked at him and laughed, I felt quite sorry for him, he had this tough exterior but I've seen him around, that kid gets beat up pretty bad for someone who's so nice.

"It's okay, I'm not going to punch you, but she's my girlfriend so like chill yourself 'Kay" I laughed.

"I'm sorry what!" Megan's shrilling voice screeched.

"Why is it every time I get your squeal to stop ringing my ears, it comes back" Betty said sitting up and looking over to her.

"Ladies" Jughead interjected.

"Well, just an observation but your "girlfriend" has split ends, a god awful mole on her chin and one of her boobs is bigger than the other" Megan spit.

"I swear to god" Betty said leaping off the table but I caught her just in time.

"Your a real bitch" hank furrowed his eyebrows at her.

"Shut up Henry, your sticking up for some one who won't even speak to you in school on Monday" she spat.

"Yeah well I don't know what world you live in, but it's a real shitty place and if you carry on speaking Megan I'm going to rip out those tacky extensions and shove them so far up your.." Betty started shouting over my shoulder.

"Okay, that's enough" I said throwing Betty over my shoulder and turning to Megan.

"Don't you think, this day would be so much easier if you would just fucking shut up" I shouted pointing at her.

"Chill babe" she said causing Betty to start kicking, Megan started laughing and Betty was smacking my back to put her down but I held her firmly in place.

"What do you not understand that I have a girlfriend, who by the way I'm going to let Rio you to pieces if you carry on" I said putting Betty down and hank lead her to the back room and gave her a cigarette.

We sat in a circle and I checked the time, time really does fly when your having fun because it was already 11:30 by the time everyone had calmed down.

"What she said it isn't true" I clarified playing with Betty's hair as she lay in my lap, her feet propped up and tucked into the bottom shelf of a book case.

"What do you mean?" Hank asked taking  a coke out of his bag.

"I'll speak to you in school on Monday" I said.

"Yeah, you don't have to I understand" he tried but I dismissed him.

"Being king of this school I see a lot, you don't have any friends do you?" I asked and he looked down fiddling with his can, slowly shaking his head.

"And you sit on your own, you eat your lunch at the top of the bleachers don't you?" I questioned again. And he nodded slowly.

"You get beat up a lot?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Mainly the ghoulies" he said quietly.

"You can totally sit with us hank, Jugheads friends are super sweet" Betty said her tone empathetic.

"And there's a jacket at the bar with your name on it, it's looks like you could use some family too" I sighed, I genuinely felt sorry for him, I've never knew what it was like to be beat up and bullied. I've always been the kings son, popular, people loved me.

"I don't know what to say" hank grinned.

"Just say yes, you don't need to do the initiation because you've already been beat to a pulp" I laughed.

"Thankyou Jughead" he smiled and I looked down at Betty who was smiling.

"See baby, you do have a heart" she laughed.

"Shut up!" I chuckled as she sat up and planted a sweet kiss on my lips and she skipped over to her bag that was on our table.

"I've seen you around too, you have literally walked past girls who drool over you with out a word, what's so special about her?" Hank asked.

"I don't know, but isn't she a miracle" I said watching her walk in and out of the book shelves, stroking the spines of all the old books.

"I don't really know how to answer that" hank chuckled.

By 2:30 everyone in the room was asleep, an hour left of this bull shit. I heard the door open and peeped on eye open to see Mr Thomas.

"Who needs the toilet" he shouted and everyone stood up shouting "me". Betty hopped up off the table where she was asleep and skipped out the door, Megan trailing closely behind her, me watching their every move.

I know she's more than capable of taking care of herself but I still worried non the the less. I waited outside the girls bathroom for her and watched Megan walk out, Betty soon after.

I pushed her back into the bathroom and sat her up on the sinks, leaning against the mirrors with my head in her neck.

"Well hello to you too" Betty giggled.

"Hi" I smiled resting my hands on her thighs and smiling up at her face.

"Come on Juggie we only have 45 minutes left" she giggled.

"You know what will make that 45 minutes pass by quicker" I smirked.

"We're in school" she gasped.

"So" I laughed.

"That reminds me! I have a surprise for you" she said dipping into her bag.

She handed me a key ring to put in my keys, it was a small metal E, obviously for elizabeth.

"To say thank you, for coming to this detention with me, I know your too cool for detentions" she giggled as I picked her up and carried her out, her legs still wrapped around my waist.

"I love it" I grinned putting it in my pocket and giving her another kiss.

I was still kissing her as I walked back into the room and mr Thomas cleared his throat.

"Put her down please Mr Jones" he said in a bored tone.

I popped my head over her shoulder

"But sir, I don't want to" I laughed.

Betty slid down and returned to her seat.

"I'm bored, my kids are driving their mother crazy so I'm going home, you guys are dismissed, please don't waste another one of my Saturdays!" Mr Thomas said but everyone was walking out the door.

"Hank" Betty shouted as we got on my motorcycle to go home.

Hank turned and looked at us and waved.

"Come by the bar whenever and ask for me okay?" I said and he nodded, hurrying down the road, obviously late for his daily dose of medical marijuana.

"What shall we do now" Betty whispered in my ear.

"I'm sure we can think of something" I grinned.
