Isabella was born on September 11, 1931, in Egypt, and has a twin sister named Lorena. She is married to Juan David and has three kids with him: Adriana, Gia, and Jocelyn. Reeling from the loss of his wife in 1987, Juan Reynaldo's health deteriorates and he himself unfortunately passes away in 1989, the year of his daughter, Lorena's quinceañera, leaving his children orphaned with neighbors.

His business, Nueva Flor, goes into bankruptcy in the early 1990's as Ricardo and Lorena attend university in the mainland US.

Jocelyn can be described as a vivacious woman with a lot of ambitions, and at her age and her marital status, isn't expected of her. Jocelyn and her sisters are biological and they were adopted when Jocelyn was 11 months old. She also grew up in Brooklyn, New York.

Julio Israel was born on June 17, 1947, in Madrid. He is the younger twin brother of Ana Ivelisse and the older brother of Juan Armando. Julio Israel is married to Ana Clara, and they left Spain to treat their cancer-stricken daughter, María Jimena, who later dies at the age of 17 from complications, leaving behind twins Alina and Angelina. Julio Israel is described as a man dedicated to his life as a husband and father, even if it meant losing a child along the way.
