You felt light piercing through your eyelids causing you to groan and shift slightly only for you to wince and groan once again.
A sharp pain thumped in your brain periodically matching the pace of your constant heart beat.
As the light kept dawning upon you, rooted to its spot on your eyes you groaned once again forcing your tightly shut, dormant eyes to flutter open.
As your eyes open, you squeeze them tight once again as a blinding light obstructs your field of sight.
You move to sit up, chains rattling as you try to escape the field of bright light claimed by the sun, peaking through a tiny window perched up on the wall.
As you felt no more warmth on your eyes you slowly opened them, adjusting to the sight of your surroundings.
Gray walls with a green tint fill your view. Concrete ceiling and and walls cracked slightly and covered with marks, recordings of those before you. A fading scarlet-brown and yellow decorated the place in a range of splatters in different sizes. Your brown eyes studied the surrounding cell in curiosity of the occurrences that took place in a time before your capture.
You could see a small line of ticks in groups of five in your corner, most likely counting long days of capture. Many things written on the cell walls whether engraved or in a once dripping red. Cold crawled up your skin in this view unpleasant, causing a shudder to run up your spine, making you sit straight.
Adjacent to you stood a lone bucket. No doubt in mind what that was for.
Your eyes moved to the chains shackling your hands. restraints tight, blocking rash movement.
Bars opposite of bars, holding no breathing creature longer. Only a pile of cracked bones with skulls looking in darkly with horror.
So far you knew nothing but that you were captured and alone, no idea of what wretched place you were brought to.
A sad feeling clenched at your heart. Knowing no happiness lasted in your mind, only darkness following your steps. Would you never be left just to be happy?
Your ears ringed with sounds of metal clanking together. You wondered if you just imagined it, doubts vanished when it became louder. Closer.
Your ears could pick up the soft sounding of bare feet slowly padding on the cold floor, and the constant of chains hitting and clashing into one another.
Hope filled your features and you rushed over to the bars opposite you, looking into the cell beside yours.
A shadow approached in the distant, getting bigger and only bigger, more clear as it came into view.
Slowly appearing was a almost red, magenta skinned girl. smooth skin covered in bruises and scars, broken and bloodied. Jet black hair slid down her shoulders in a ruffled state. Two small, red, sharp pointing horns emerging from the sides to her hairline.
Banged-up rosy pink lips, blood smudged down her chin. She smiled as she saw me, blazing blue eyes closing to shape crescents. Bangs covered her forehead, not shading her piercing, pretty eyes.
She was beautiful, you had to admit.
A devil but beautiful.
