"Yoongi...You wouldn't want to leave poor Jimin out on the streets would you?"

Jimin's mouth falls open in surprise, forming a little O. He looks back and forth between Jin and Yoongi wondering if this is actually happening.
Yoongi notices how big and hopeful Jimin's eyes get as he meets his, just for a second, before Jimin is spluttering about how it's 'too much', and that he 'already owes Yoongi anyways'.
Damn him for being so cute...
And damn Jin Hyung for using it against him.
Feeling his resolve already crumbling, Yoongi says "Well he's not exactly on the streets is he? Plus I'm sure after last night's incident Jimin wouldn't want to live anywhere near here, would you?"
Jimin feels very put in the middle, as despite this all being for him, both Jin hyung and Yoongi seem to be angling for their own desires.
"Well... I wouldn't mind being here, since I feel safe with you..." he says quietly, bowing his head so he doesn't have to see their reactions.
Before Jin can spin that on Yoongi Jimin continues. "But this is your house and I owe you already. Also we don't even know each other yet, and I'm not expecting you to offer me somewhere to live. I'm not that desperate."
It was true that Jimin felt Jin was being too much, and he'd feel bad taking up Yoongi's personal space.
However... he wasn't stupid.
Jimin knew that this was probably his best option. Yoongi was a nice guy. He wouldn't have saved him last night otherwise. He also seemed to value space and privacy, so he wouldn't be an overbearing roommate. Plus the rent couldn't be too much...
For some reason Yoongi finds himself saying "Fine." His head is spinning like crazy, and he wants to return back to the comfort of his bed.
"What?" A confused crease forms between Jimin's eyebrows.
"It's too damn early for this" he groans. "Jimin if you would like to live here, that's fine. Feel free to go upstairs and take a look around or whatever," he gestures wildly with his hands, and walks back over to his bedroom.
"Wait! Yoongi-" the hybrid stands, but makes no further move to follow him.
"I'm going back to bed."
Before he closes the door he turns to the smirking cat practically preening himself on his sofa and smiles stiffly.
"Jin hyung, you were a pleasure as always. Now if you don't mind: get out of my house."
Slam.
Slowly, Jimin asks "Hyung... What just happened?"
"It looks like you got a job and a home all within on day. That's pretty impressive." He hums.
Grinning he continues "We should probably leave for at least a few hours while he sleeps. You don't need to go anywhere right? Would you like to see the café? We can get to know each other better. Oh! We should celebrate your luck too! Let's have cake~"
Taking Jimin's hand he starts pulling him towards the door as the younger laughs.
"That sounds great, but we literally just had breakfast. Don't you think it's too early for cake?"
"Jimin, I'll let you in on a little secret."
Jin leans closer and whispers conspiratorially "It is never, ever too early for cake."

As they walk, the two learn a lot about each other, both already knowing that they'll make great friends.
They come to stop on a street corner, in front of rustic looking building. There's a certain charm to it though, what with the fairy lights hanging over the door, and the variety of flowers hanging from pots, or lining the walls in raised beds.
"We're here." Jin says quietly, a proud smile gracing his lips.
Jimin can't believe the day he's having. The fact that he got a job here, out of all the café's in town! The one café he'd been dying to visit after Jungkook had told him about it all those months ago.
Unable to help the way his tail swishes back and forth excitedly, Jimin says
"No way! Hyung you own Dreamers' Retreat? I've been wanting to come here for months, but somehow I never had the time." A sad note creeps into his voice towards the end.
"Really?" Surprise colours Jin's voice as his ears perk up. He narrows his eyes jokingly. "You're not just trying to get in the Boss' good books?" He chuckles.
"Hyung!" Jimin whines. "No way, it's not like that. I heard about if from my best friend and let's go inside already!" He's practically bouncing up and down now.
"Okay, okay" Jin laughs, pleased by Jimin's excitement.

As soon as they walk through the door Jimin is hit by the plethora of scents pleasantly filtering through the air. From deep rich coffee, to velvety sweet chocolate. From tangy lemon, to sickeningly sweet strawberries.
It smelt like heaven.
The interior was clearly well thought out. From the wood panneled walls, to the mix of random antique light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Natural light filters through the air.
The modern, missmatched furniture seemes almost out of place with the rest of the decor, and yet it somehow all come together perfectly. There was an element of care displayed by the small plants or nick nacks atop the tables, creating a comfortable, and cozy atmosphere.
Jin heads straight to the counter to greet 'Taehyung 🐶' (Jimin learns from his co-workers name plate).
"Hyung! I wasn't sure if you were coming in today!" Taehyung says excitedly.
Jimin almost melts on the spot at the box smile that's flashed at Jin. It might just be the cutest damn thing he's ever seen.
Jin hadn't been kidding about the 'flower boy hybrid café' thing. Taehyung was beautiful. Tall, with soft features, his beagle ears resting atop his golden brown hair. He had a lovely friendly demeanour that came through almost immediately.
He's pulled from his thoughts as their conversation continues.
"Of course I came" Jin chuckles, "I wasn't about to dump everything on you. I know it's been a lot of work lately and I'm sorry for that but I found someone perfect to join our crew!"
"Really? That's great!"
Jin turns and gestures for Jimin to come behind the counter with him.
"Taehyung meet Jimin, and Jimin meet Taehyung."
