Pain, is the first thing Yoongi registers as he slowly gains consciousness. His whole body aches. The deep kind of aches that are constantly there, even when lying down.

Despite having just slept he feels exhausted. With heavy eyes, he scans his surroundings. The room is dark, but when he realises it's Jimin's bed he's lying in, Yoongi's brow furrows. He doesn't remember how he got there. In fact, Yoongi isn't even sure what the last thing he remembers is...

Light peaks around the edges of Jimin's striped curtains, making Yoongi wonder what time it is. Probably time he should be up. As he sits up, a sharp twinge of pain rushes up Yoongi's spine, making his breath hiss past his teeth.

"What the hell?" He mutters under his breath.

Once he's up, simply walking feels like a monumental effort. With every step he takes down the hall pain jolts through his lower back and thighs. He can't understand why it feels like he's just finished running a marathon.

There's soft music coming from the kitchen, which means Jimin must be cooking. He can't tell what his boyfriend is making, but whatever it is smells good. It makes Yoongi realise how hungry he is, like he hasn't had a proper meal in days.

When he gets there, Yoongi leans against the kitchen doorway, watching Jimin for a moment. He hums along to the music while he cooks, his soft silver tail swishing in time with the music.

"Hey." Yoongi says tiredly, his voice sounding hoarser than he was expecting.

Jimin's fluffy ears twitch at the noise. He turns quickly, a relieved smile gracing his lips when he sees Yoongi.

"Hey, how are you feeling? You slept for a long time."

Jimin walks over and presses the back of his hand against Yoongi's forehead and then his cheek, checking his temperature. Narrowing his eyes in confusion, Yoongi takes Jimin's hand away from his face, and links their fingers instead.

" 'm tired. And my body hurts. Feels like I fell down the stairs or something." He replies gingerly.

"You don't- You don't remember?" Jimin asks hesitantly.

Casting his mind back, Yoongi only remembers hazy things. Working on music and then... He was feeling sick? Some sort of fever.

"No... It's really strange." Yoongi says quietly.

"Uhmm, well shall we sit down then? I made hangover soup to wake us up."

The anxiety colouring Jimin's voice doesn't go unnoticed. There's something off, something he's not telling him. But for now Yoongi let's himself be led to the table, reasoning that it'd be best to eat something before he starts his questioning.

The hangover soup makes him wonder if he feels like this because he was drinking last night? It seems far too extreme to be just a hangover though. His body wouldn't hurt like this. Whilst Yoongi is lost in his thoughts Jimin plates up two bowls of soup and gets them some water to drink as well.

"Here." Jimin holds out a spoon to Yoongi with a smile. "See what you think. Just be careful cause it's still quite hot."

Heeding his boyfriend's warning, he carefully blows on the soup before trying it. The flavours explode in his mouth, the spices providing a real wake up kick, whilst the cabbage and beansprouts give the soup some satisfying texture.

"It tastes really great Jimin. Thanks for making it."

Jimin smiles widely, his eyes disappearing into little crescents. "You're welcome, I'm glad you like it." There's a thoughtful pause before he continues. "I always find hangover soup to be the best thing to eat after a heat."
