When the soup is finished, they move to the sofa, where it's more comfortable. Curled against each other's side, Yoongi mindlessly traces patterns across Jimin's palm while he thinks.
"So... what happened?" Yoongi asks quietly. It's quite a vauge question, but he's not sure how to be any more specific about the heat.
"Not much really. I stayed with you, and we kissed, but that was it, I didn't touch you in a sexual way. There were times when you got off on my scent and me being there, but I didn't help you with that." Jimin pauses before continuing. "I felt really bad seeing you in all that pain, especially since I know that pain... but we haven't redefined where we stand on our heats since we started dating so there was no way I was going to touch you like that."
Yoongi nods as he takes in the information, and tries to fit it together with his scattered memories. "Thank you, for being there for me. I'm sorry if I was difficult to deal with..."
Quick to shake his head, Jimin says, "Don't apologise for that, of course I was there for you. I'll be there for you, as long as you want me. Heat is a natural thing. People might have shamed hybrids about it for a long time, but it's nothing to apologise for."Jimin says it with such sincerity that it makes Yoongi feel a little better.
Yoongi smiles softly to himself at the response, then asks "Why am I wearing clean clothes if I was in heat?"
Surprise widens Jimin's eyes as he chuckles lightly. "That's very observant of you. Late last night I ran you a bath. You weren't in too much pain anymore 'cause the heat was fading but you were still kind of out of it so you probably don't remember. I changed the bedsheets then as well."
"Ahh I see, thank you. It would have been worse waking up all gross... I think I would have panicked more then." Yoongi hums as he plays with Jimin's fingers absentmindedly.
A sharp jolt of pain through Yoongi's left shoulder causes his ears to twitch. Being the perceptive person he is, Jimin picks up on the subtle expression of pain. "Does it hurt a lot?" he asks, his brow pinched.
Frowning, Yoongi replies "Not really. My whole body aches you know? And some of it hurts a bit worse, but then sometimes I get these sudden shooting pains... Is that normal?"
"Do you just feel them when you move, or do they come out of nowhere?"
"Moreso when I move, but they've been random too..."
Jimin cards his fingers through Yoongi's hair soothingly, trying to distract him from the pain as much as possible. "That sounds like heat tremors. They're pretty uncommon, but they're still a normal thing. Namjoon-hyung would be able to tell you about them better than me. He wants to see you by the way, but if you're not feeling up to it we can just wait till tomorrow." Jimin adds.
Not needing to think about it before answering, Yoongi replies "Tomorrow it is then. Let's have a lazy day today."
Jimin grins. "Yeah? With movies and takeout food?"
"Sounds perfect. You don't have to be back at work yet right?" Yoongi ask, although he knows the answer already. Jimin will stay with him till Yoongi gives him the okay to go back. Till he's sure that Yoongi's well enough.
"Hmmmmm" Jimin hums it over teasingly. "Jin-hyung did say something about looking forward to having me back at work..."
A grin shapes Yoongi's lips, as his tail curls around Jimin's arm possessively. "Tell him your busy... That I still very much need your attention."
"Oh? Is that so?" Jimin chuckles.
Yoongi kisses Jimin quickly, chastely. "Yes. I've been through a stressful ordeal and I still feel like shit, so you should stay and look after me."
