"I can't believe you've never been to a cat cafe! This is going to be so fun!" Jimin's smile stretches wide across his face, his eyes almost disappearing.
Somehow he'd managed to keep the location of their date a secret up until 5 minutes ago.
Yoongi gives his hand a squeeze. "Cat cafes aren't that common you know... But I'm looking forward to it."
When they walk through the door, one of the cats immediately starts strolling up to them, casting an assessing eye over the pair. It's mostly white, with a mixture of orange and black patches trailing from it's head down to it's tail.
It brushes up against Yoongi's leg once before walking away.
One of the café workers comes up to greet them.
"Wow, Stella hardly ever interacts with strangers like that!"
Yoongi's not sure he'd call that enough for an interaction, but the cat seemed sweet, low-key.
"Sorry, don't mind me. Welcome to Paw-sitive Vibes, my name is Dahyun. Have you been here before?"
Jimin shakes his head. "No this is our first time here."
"Okay, great! We serve food and drinks at the counter over there. You can also purchase cat treats to feed the cats, although we ask that you don't feed the cats with green collars as they're currently overweight. All of our cats are rescues, and we run an adoption programme for them. If that interests you we have more information about it at the counter. Can I get you any drinks?"
"A coke and an iced americano please." Yoongi says.
"Sure. Make yourselves comfortable wherever you'd like, and I'll get those drinks for you."
They sit at a plush blue loveseat next to the front windows.
Another cat comes over, and tentatively sniffs at Jimin's hand. That's all it takes before the ginger cat is curling up in his lap.
Jimin gently brushes his fingers along the cat's spine. "Hi there... Pumpkin." He coos, quickly checking the cat's name tag.
Dahyun arrives with their drinks on a tray, as well as a few complimentary cat treats as first time visitors.
At the smell of the treats, pumpkin perks up her head.
It seems a small army of cats have noticed the treats, as many now eye the couple with interest, a few straying closer.
He picks up one of the treats and holds it out to Pumpkin. The cat happily chews on it, beginning to purr a little.
Yoongi smiles, and scratches behind her ears. "This is nice Jiminie, thanks for bringing me here."
"I'm glad you like it Hyung."
Yoongi takes a sip from his coffee, pleased when he finds it's pretty good. "How's your dancing going? Do you like the new studio?"
Jimin had only just recently decided that for now he was financially comfortable enough to start taking contemporary dance lessons again.
There's a sparkle in Jimin's eyes at the mention of dance. "I love the new studio, everyone is really friendly. The instructors are really great too. It's so so nice to be learning dance again."
Yoongi smiles a little. "You seem happier lately. I'm glad you were able to continue with something you love so much."
A slight blush colours Jimin's cheek. He breaks eye contact with Yoongi, instead looking down at the cat in his lap, as he smiles shyly. "Thanks Hyung."
A sudden weight on his shoulder makes Yoongi turn his head. Stella stands on the back of the sofa, one paw outstretched, gently planted on Yoongi's shoulder. She draws it back when he notices her.
It's a surprise that Yoongi hadn't noticed the cat get closer to them, but then again, he'd been entirely focussed on Jimin.
Stella is clearly wary around people, but the way she looks at Yoongi seems more questioning than scared, almost as if something about him reminds her of someone.
"I think she likes you." Jimin says.
Yoongi picks up another cat treat from their tray and gingerly holds it out to her.
Cautiously, Stella sniffs it twice, before eating it straight from Yoongi's palm.
It seems to have won her over a bit, as she climbs down, and settles on the armrest next to Yoongi.
"I think she's a Calico cat, those are pretty rare. It's always surprising to find one up for adoption anyways." Jimin hums.
"Hyung, have you ever had any pets?"
Yoongi turns back to Jimin, smiling as he thinks of his fluffy baby Holly. "Yeah, I had a dog. Here I've got some pictures-"
They continue talking for a while, rapt in each other's attention as the afternoon passes by.
Afterwards they walk home hand in hand, feeling content after a great first date. By far the best one either of them had ever had.

"Hyung, have you ever met anyone that was scentless?" Yoongi asks Jin, as they play Mario kart.
Currently he was in the lead, but Jin was catching up to him fast, and he had a feeling he wouldn't be winning this round.
"No, that would be so weird. That's only a thing in movies to make them more suspenseful and mysterious." Jin chuckles.
A frown tugs at Yoongi's lips. "So it's not possible? At all?"
"No, everyone has a scent and it's unique to them. Two people might smell of the same combination of things for example, but the saturation of the different scent components and the way they blend would be different. I suppose when you've been a hybrid for a bit longer you'll understand what I'm talking about better. Hey, don't you remember them teaching us about scents in bio?"
Yoongi's nose scrunches. "Nah, bio was Tuesday mornings so I was asleep most of the time."
"Oh yeah!" Jin laughs. "Teacher Song used to hate you so much for that."
When Yoongi gets swept off of the course by one of the Yoshi falls, and he knows there's no way he'll be beating Jin, he gives up and turns to face him completely.
"So, hypothetically speaking, if I met someone with no scent that would be strange right?" A furrow forms between his brows, as his tail twitches nervously.
As soon as Jin crosses the finish line, he turns to Yoongi. His ears are tilted in a confused way.
"Very strange..."
Jin gives Yoongi an assessing look before he says "Have you been meeting strange people Yoongi?"
