Chapter 34 - I Got You, I Promise

"So, hypothetically speaking, if I met someone with no scent that would be strange right?" A furrow forms between his brows, as his tail twitches nervously.

As soon as Jin crosses the finish line, he turns to Yoongi. His ears are tilted in a confused way.

"Very strange..."

Jin gives Yoongi an assessing look before he says "Have you been meeting strange people Yoongi?"

"So how did your first date with Yoongi Hyung go?" Jungkook asks Jimin.

The two of them are at the local convenience store eating ramen before Jungkook heads off to his night-time art class.

Jimin smiles. "I think it went really well. We talked a lot, and things felt really natural you know? It was nice. I took him to the cat cafe in Jung district."

Jungkook raises an eyebrow in a disbelieving manner. "Hyung went to a cat café?"

"Yah." Jimin's eyes narrow in a feline way. Whacking Jungkook's arm with his tail, he says. "Don't knock it, it was an amazing idea and he had a great time. You like cat cafes too, what's so surprising about him going to one?"

Jungkook chuckles, his eyes forming happy crescents. "Okay, okay. I was just teasing. Hyung might come off a bit stony when you first meet him, but he's actually a huge softie."

Jimin grins around his noodles. "He is..."

"Ooh Hyung!" Jungkook bites his lip nervously, yet excitement lights his eyes. "I've been meaning to tell you. Me and Tae... We're dating now."

Jimin chokes on his ramen, instantly regretting picking the spicy flavour, because now his nose is burning.

"What?" He croaks out. "Since when?"

Jungkook crinkles his nose in a way that almost resembles a wince. "Well, I guess about two weeks now."

"What the hell! Two weeks? And you only just told me? That's longer than me and Yoongi have been dating."

Absentmindedly, Jungkook plays with his hair. A giveaway that he's either nervous or thinking hard.

"I was going to tell you... But then the heat happened, and you were recovering, and I didn't think you needed my drama on top of all of that. Plus, I wasn't sure it was going anywhere yet."

"Still! I want to know these things Kook." Jimin pouts.

"So, when you and Tae were all cuddly whilst you visited me at the hospital – which was highly suspicious by the way - you didn't think to mention you were dating?"

Jimin's not actually mad, at this point he's just teasing Jungkook. Jungkook's eyes widen in that doe like way of his.

"Well... Yoongi Hyung was there. You know I like Hyung but I'm still shy..."

Jimin chuckles and shakes his head.

"It's okay Kookie, don't worry. Ahhh I feel like I've been waiting for this to happen for forever now. How did you guys get together? How's it going?"

A satisfied grin spreads across Jungkook's face, and his ears slowly colour pink.

"Really great Hyung. I like him... quite a lot actually. And together we just seem to click."

Smiling, Jimin says. "I'm really glad you're happy Kook."

For their second date, Yoongi takes Jimin to a noraebang. They drink, and laugh and Yoongi's completely enamoured by Jimin's voice. Of course, he already knew that Jimin could sing. Often Jimin hums little melodies whilst doing things. However, He's never heard him sing like this. Some songs, they sing badly, and have fun with them. But the tracks which Jimin sings seriously are amazing. His voice has a piercing emotional quality that you don't often come across. Yoongi thinks he could listen to Jimin's voice forever, and not be bored. He tells him as much when the song ends. Jimin blushes at his words, although that could just be the flush from the alcohol.
