"What in the world did you think!?" "Hayley, chill. I just wanted to have some fun just like everyone else." "Fun!?" I stomped down the stairs. It was Sunday afternoon and mom and Michael were out taking a walk.
I was so pissed at Jaxon. What was he thinking!? He had ruined my relationship with Bryce completely. Because of him Bryce had dumped me. That wasn't fun what so ever!I opened the door and slammed it closed. I have had enough of this nonsense. I was going over to the beach. Just to get my mind to calm down. I climbed into the car and drove out of my street.
I climbed out of the car and started walking down the long sandy stairs down to the shore. It was beautiful! The beach was almost completely empty. After walking a good half an hour I sat down on to the sand and rested my arms on my legs. For the rest of the time I just sat there, watching the waves hit the shore.
What am I going to do, I thought. What do I do when I'm down? Then I looked up. I would start over, start new. I got up. But what do you do when you start living a new life? Room makeover? Hairdresser? Should I even buy myself a new apartment? Nope, don't have that money. I'll just start with something simple. I'll get myself a hair makeover! I walked up the stairs, to the car and climbed in. The nearest hairdresser was one hour away. No problem, I thought. But what if Maggy would also like one? I shrugged my shoulders and drove home to stop by Maggy's house.
I knocked. Maggy opened the door. "Hey Maggy. Do you want to start a new life with me and get yourself a hair makeover?" "Sure, why not." Maggy jumped into the car. Okay, that was easy. I went around and climbed in as well.
I turned on the radio and started driving. "What about the guys?" I looked at Maggy. "Who cares about guys. It's just you and me." Maggy looked back. "You're right. We're free souls." She leaned out of the window. "WE'RE FREE! WOHOO!" I shook my head and smiled. I love my crazy best friend.(One hour later)
"So, what should it be for you miss?" I looked into the mirror. "I was thinking of cutting the tips and going for blond. Kind of getting lighter at the end." "Sure." I looked over to Maggy. She decided to shorten her hair a tiny bit and dyeing her hair in a darker blond.
The hair stylist started cutting my hair. I closed my eyes. I love coming to the hairdresser. It gives you a fresh feeling. After the cutting two ladies started washing my hair and then started dyeing it. It took altogether two hours.
After we we're finished and paid we went outside. Then we turned to each other. "Wow, Maggy you really look gorgeous. "You too. Now Bryce can definitely not resist you." I turned to look off to the side. "Yeah, about that." We got into the car. "What about it?" "He saw Jaxon kissing me at the kissing booth and broke up." "Oh no! Why didn't you tell me?" I shrugged and turned the key. "Well, look at the bright side. Now you're single and that means you can get together with Jaxon. I bet that's why he kissed you." "Maggy, I don't think I have feelings for him anymore." "That's impossible." I shook my head. "Nope, not for me. After what he has done?" Maggy leaned against the window. "Oh well. I really hope that'll change."
I didn't feel like talking about any more boys and so I turned on the radio and enjoyed the feeling of newness. As we got home the sun had already set and it was getting dark. I said goodbye to Maggy and drove home.
I parked the car, climbed out and opened the house door.
"Hun- wow I like your new haircut. But where have you been?" "Hi Mom. I was obviously at the hairdresser with Maggy. I thought I needed a new hairdo." Mom raised her eyebrows. "Okay, well you should have called or texted me." "I'm sorry." I went into the living room and laid down on the couch. I closed my eyes. A few minutes later I opened them again. Jaxon came down the stairs. "Hey, where's dad." Mom looked up. "He should still be at his friends house. Why?" "Okay nevermind. I got this new job offer in Del Mar. It's for a police dispatcher." "Wow, Jaxon. That's amazing. Hayley did you hear that?" I pretended to be sleeping. Jaxon looked at me, then rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I know. Can't wait for dad to hear about it." I could hear him run back upstairs. What an idiot. And why in the world is he still living here!? He has his own apartment to go to! I opened my eyes and stood up. I made myself a sandwich and went upstairs to prepare for our math exam.
