fangirling about my own story for this chapter!!! AHHHH

You & I

"We want to be together?" I ask, smiling like a lovesick fool and not caring in the slightest. I am faintly aware that Liam left the room but I'm not focused on that right then.

"I do," he says, mirroring my expression.

My smile widens, now bigger than I thought it could physically ever be.

"I do, too."

"Maybe 'I do' can be our 'always'?"

I laugh and chuck a pillow at him for his cheesy reference of what he knows is one of my favorite books.

"Way to ruin the moment, Louis!" I laugh, whole-heartedly.

"I thought it was perfect!" he says, himself now laughing as well. "We are even in Amsterdam! Now, if either of us had cancer, our love story may as well have been written by John Green!"

"Love story?" I ask, raising my eyebrows, but still in a light-hearted manner.

He notices my unchanging mood, and continues on with an unfaltering, cheeky grin, as he walks over to me.

"Yes. Love story. It's uh... well... I love you, Avery."

I smile back at him. "I love you too, Louis."

"YES!" he screams at the tops of his lungs, pumping his fist in the air, catching me off guard. I laugh at him as he runs over to the doors that open to the balcony.

"What are you doing?!" I laugh at him.

He ignores me and steps out onto the balcony, throwing his arms dramatically to the sides before shouting at the top of his lungs, "SHE LOVES ME EVERYBODY!"

I laugh as I rush over to pull him back in. "Louis, you idiot!" I yell at him, smiling.

"I want the world to know!" he laughs back before turning his head to face the balcony, once again. "WORLD! SHE LOVES ME! AVER-" he starts to say, but I stop him by bringing his face down to mine, pressing my lips against his to shut him up.

I laugh as I feel him smile into the kiss. I pull away slightly, still holding his face in my hands.

"You're such an idiot," I chuckle.

"Yep. And you love me for it."

"Yeah. I do."

"Hey, Liam. Can I talk to you real quick?" I ask Liam as he is about to get on the tour bus with the rest of the boys, but I hold him back.

"Uh, yeah. Sure," he says, tiredly.

He looks as if he hasn't slept a wink, maybe even slightly hungover. I haven't seen him all day until now that we are leaving. I wonder what is going on with him?

"Sorry, I just wanted to talk to you about last night. Sorry if we made you uncomfortable. I know you just found out about it and it was kinda weird. I just wanted to ask you... could you please not tell the other guys yet? We are going to tell them, and soon, we just want to be able to do it. Ya know?"

"Yeah, sure. 'Course," he mumbles.

"Thank you! You're awesome!" I squeal as I jump up to hug him. Liam really is a great friend, and it's worrying me to see that he is obviously going through something. "Hey, and if you ever need anything, or ever want to talk, you can always come to me."

"Yeah. Thanks, Ave," he says, and forces a smile. He can only hold it for a second, though, and it quickly disappears from his face once again, leaving no trace that for even a second he was able to appear to be happy. He really must be having a hard time with something.
