Night Changes

Annie's POV

"GEN!" I scream as I spot the familiar blond head of hair, causing many people to look my way in the busy airport that is LAX.

Kate and I just got off the plane from Maui and soon enough we will be getting on a plane to London with Gen to meet up with Avery and the guys.

"ANNE!" she shouts back, equally as loud over the crowd.

Katie and I push our way through the mass of travelers, meeting up with her. I give Gen a tight squeeze, even though it's only been a few months, I've missed her more than words could describe.

"Where is your mom?" Katie asks after sharing a hug with her, as well.

"She couldn't come through the gate," she explains. "But she told me to tell you 'hi'!"

We move to sit at a restaurant, catching up with Gen and talking about anything and everything, but mostly about the fact we get to see London.

Waiting around for about an hour, it is time for us to board the plane.

I feel nervous, obviously, it's my first time out of the country and I'm in the hands of my sister--who isn't exactly the smartest person in the world.

Ten joyous hours and one layover in New York later, Gen, Kate, and I step off the plane.

"Oh my god!" I squeal, taking one look around the ginormous airport. "This place is HUGE!"

"Yeah, it is," Kate agrees, monotonously, taking out her cellphone to text our worrying mother that we've arrived safely.

"Let's go find Aves!" Gen takes my arm, pulling me to find her sister who is coming to pick us up.

Just then, I get a text from her.

From: Avenue
where are you people? has your plane landed yet?

From: Annie
YES! we just got off! where are you?

From: Avenue
I can see you! hold on!

I look up from my phone to see three people waving. Wait, three?
