Teenage Dirtbag
Gen's POV
After we say goodbye to Louis and Aves when they leave to go riding, I jump up off the soft brown couch we had all been laying on, noticing I've been laying down way too long because my legs are slightly wobbly as I quickly stand up. I clap my hands together.
"Get up, lazy butts! I wanna show you the tricks I can do on the trampoline." They all groan at my demand. I glare at them, squinting my eyes, and grab Niall's arm as I pull as hard and forcefully as I can, knowing he is the only one I have a chance at moving.
"Damn! You're stronger than you look!" he says, rolling his shoulder and rubbing it. I just give the biggest, squintiest smile I can pull off and gesture for them all to get up. After their simultaneous groan, they start to stand. I lead them out of the living room, through the kitchen, and out through the backdoor of the laundry room.
"So, you do gymnastics?" Liam asks.
"No, but when you have a trampoline and a lot of free time, you learn some pretty cool things," I explain as I climb on top of the chicken coop to hop onto the trampoline.
I show them how I can do a front-hand spring along with a front tuck.
"Woah! How does your little body spin that much without flying into the net?!" Harry asks sarcastically.
"Hey! I may be little, but I'm a firecracker that could rip you to shreds!" I giggle, already seeing them as older brothers to me.
I show them a few more of my more simple tricks and pull them all onto the trampoline with me when I'm done.
"I bet I could pull off that last one," Niall says, referring to my donkey kick followed by a summersault.
"Let's see," I say, backing up gesturing for him to try.
He jumps onto his knees and falls right back into his starting position. We laugh at his attempts.
"Well I'd like to see one of you try!" he says, pointing to the remaining boys. They all try and fail. I can't help but burst with laughter while they make fools of themselves. I'm attacked by dancing phalanges along my stomach and thighs, making me laugh until I almost pee myself! They would have never stopped, they were laughing almost as hard as I was!
"I'll get...you, ahh! Hahha, for this!" I say, rolling over to protect myself. It doesn't work. It's only when I swing my leg around Zayn's foot and pull, knocking them all down on his way to the floor, do they finally let up.
I'm surprised at how easily I talk them into playing 'Dead Man' with me. After a few games, we all get tired and sit down. I'm surprised that these guys have about as much energy as I do. None of Avery's friends, nor mine, are like this.
"So Gen, is it weird having Avery so far away? It seems like you guys don't talk very much." Harry turns and asks me. I can tell he kind of catches himself making sure that last part didn't sound too offensive. To be honest, I try not to think about it, which is exactly what I tell him.
"I try not to think about, I've gotten used to having family far away. You know, with my Dad living in North Carolina." It didn't mean to come out that pitiful. I don't want them thinking I'm trying to get them to pity me. I see how Harry's eyes are slightly overcome with guilt, now realizing what his question led to.
