A day and a half after Quinn and Rachel got to Penn State, we all headed to the airport to catch our flight to Lima. The flight was long and exhausting as always. I couldn't hear my music over the babies crying and couples arguing. I was so glad when the plane finally landed and we got off. Tina and Mike picked us up from the airport.

"How was your guys flight?"

"Oh you know, it was terrible." Everyone laughed. But I was being totally serious.

"Where are we taking you guys? I assume we're taking Rachel to her dad's. And Santana? Are you going home?" Mike looked back from the passengers seat.

"Actually, my parents aren't home. Quinn said that it would be alright for me to stay at her place." We got to Rachel's place and kissed Quinn bye before leaving. Rachel's dads wanted her to stay with them for the first night because they wanted to have their traditional family dinner.

We got to Quinn's place and thanked Mike and Tina for the ride. We got settled and were sitting in her room enjoying a glass of wine.

"You're room hasn't changed a bit. You didn't pack anything before you left?"

"I wanted to start a new life. A way to leave everything behind and start over." She took a sip of her wine and grabbed a picture frame off of her dresser. "I was so distant from everyone for such a long time and I just feel like I missed out on so much. I missed things in everyone lives that I should've been here for. Mike and Tina's wedding. Rachel's first broadway show. Artie's movie premiere."

"We understood that you had to do your own thing, Quinn. You didn't exactly have the easiest time in high school." I spotted the picture that Britt and I took at prom our senior year. I got up off of the bed to pick it up. "I loved this picture of us. When she first transferred from MIT, she showed me her wallet. She kept this picture in there since the day she got it."

"You know, San. Everything I told you the other day, I meant it. I honestly thought that Brittany was going to win you back. She always had that certain hold on you." She stared down at her wine glass. It was empty. "I'm sorry that this happened to you. I really am. I always hoped that one day I would have a relationship like you two. So loving, and caring. The way you always protected her and made sure that she was okay. I envied you so much."

"I don't know what to say, Quinn." She came over and stood by me.

"You're always hiding behind this cold exterior when on the inside, you're a sweet person. And Brittany saw that in you."

I started to cry and she rubbed my back.

"I need to go for a run. It's the only way I can let off steam." I walked over to my bag to get a change of clothes. My shoes were sitting on the floor and after I changed I looked over at Quinn. She was giving me that are you going to be okay face. "I'll be fine, Q."

"What do you want to eat for dinner? I was thinking we could order some pizza or something. Artie and Mercedes were saying that they were going to come over tonight. But if you don't want company then I can tell them another time."

"No actually that'd be cool. Pizza is fine. I'll see you in a bit okay?" I walked downstairs and started to stretch. I put my earphones in and started listening to my iPod.

I ran down the street from Quinn's house with no intentions of running a certain route or to a specific place. But to my surprise, I ended up running to the football field at school. I sat down on the bleachers and took a breath. Sweat was running down my face and my breathing was a little heavier than usual. Tomorrow was the big day. A day that I didn't think I'd see until I was at least sixty years old. I would be attending the love of my life's funeral with my new girlfriend.
