Chapter 5. An Unsupervised Party, We're Down!

Eliza ran through the forest, panting. Thirty wolves were chasing her, thirsty for her innocent blood. She heard the wolves growl at her which encourage her to run faster.

She suddenly tripped over a branch and fell, scrapping her knees and elbows. She stood up but by then the wolves had cornered her.

"No, please don't hurt me!" She begged. The wolves snarled at her and stood ready to attack. She screamed and curled into a ball as they pounced at her. Then she heard a loud whimper. She looked and saw three very large wolves in front of her. One of them, holding a dead wolf in it's jaws. The other twenty-nine ran away. She couldn't see the wolves fur color which bothered her. The wolves disappeared and the. She saw three rings, one of them looked identical to ring she had in her finger. Who could have known about them? Then she heard a twig snap.

"Who are you? Show yourself?" She asked. She heard loud snapping and cracking as the wolves turned into three humans. She could only see the three's silhouette, and it was fading fast. She had to know who they were.

"Eliza." One of them said. She felt arms grabbing her and shaking her.

"Eliza. Eliza, wake up. Eliza! ELIZA!" Eliza opened her eyes and saw Alexander shaking her awake and Kaden looking down at her with eyes filled with worry.

"Kaden? Alexander? What's going on?" She asked as she sat. She was covered with sweat. She looked out the window and saw that it was dawn!

'I must have slept all night.' She thought.

"You were screaming and thrashing around in your sheets. You were having a nightmare, the same one  I assume." Kaden said.

"Actually, no. This time it was different. I was being chased by thirty wolves and they cornered me. I was about to get ripped to shreds and then three large wolves saved me." She looked down at her ring. The only thing that remains left of the Moon Beam Pack.

"Then I saw three people and they knew about our rings." Her brothers looked at their rings. The rings were very strange. No one could take them off yet, the were a perfect fit. Whenever they grew, the ring grew. They were very strange rings indeed.

"I think something big is going to happen." She said. Before they could respond, their mother called them down for breakfast.

"We'll talk about this later, tell no one not even mom and dad can know got it." Kaden said. Alexander and Eliza nodded. The three quickly went to dining room, where their mother were waiting for them.

"I was wonder were you guys were." She smiled.

"We just got caught up in talking?" Alexander said.

"Hey, where's dad?" Eliza asked.

"He's on the phone." Selena said. Then Gerald walks in with the phone pressed to his ear.

"Yes...Okay...Thank you so much....Of course, I will pass on this wonderful news, When is it again....Two days! My children's birthday is in two days can't it reschedule....I know...Seventeen...Alright, we'll be there...I' lol see you soon, bye."  He hangs up the phone

"What's up?" Selena asked.

"Well, we were asked to host the art show in Paris." He said.

"You mean the one where my favorite photographer, Annie Leibovitz is attending!!" Selena said excitedly.

"Yep!" She squealed with excitement.

"When is it?"

"In two days."

"TWO DAYS!! That's barely enough time to get ready and plus," she said turning towards her kids. "I'm not leaving my babies on their birthday."

"It's okay, mom. You guys can go. It's not the first time we've been by ourselves."  Eliza said.

"Yeah. You two deserve some time to do something you guys want to do!" Kaden agreed.

"Are you sure?" Gerald asked.

"Definitely." Alexander said.

"Plus, an unsupervised party, we're down." He said as the three of them high-fived.

"Hey, the rules still apply even when we are not here." Selena said.

"We know Mama." Eliza said.

"And you three have to go to school." Gerald said.

"No, not school! Anything but that!" Eliza begged.

"Calm down, you have only two more days of school before you never have to go again." Selena said.

"Well thank God for that!" Alexander said.

"Go on and go to school. We will probably be gone, when you get back so behave yourselves." Selena called.

"We will." They responded. Then they get in their car and they get to school. For the first time in a while, Eliza felt like this was actually going to be a pretty good day.
