"hey, iwa-chan."

"asu—"

it wasn't.

there he was, in all his glory, standing in front of him with his glasses and his stupid blue jacket iwaizumi insulted but secretly liked so, so much. he wished to tell him that one last time. but he was gone.

so why was he here?

"tooru," he breathed, walking through the field of bright yellow flowers towards him, "tooru, you're here?"

"i never left," he chuckled, "though you did."

"what?"

"for her. i can't blame you. it hurts, though." the signature fake smile made way for a sad face. "it hurts, iwa-chan. so much."

"tooru, i'm—"

"do you even miss me?"

he looked at him, eyes wide. "i miss you everyday. i cry over you every night. i am always in a state of pure agony because i want you back, tooru, and on top of that, i let you go."

"don't leave me," he whispered, "hajime. don't leave me, please — i don't like being alone."

"i know. i won't."

"promise?"

"i promise you, i'll never forget you."

"good," he smiled again, and relief spread through iwaizumi's body.

it all dissipated however, when he woke up, and he realized what he had just promised.

never forget him.

the torment would never end. and he couldn't let it.
