"I said to go as far as you could, not to go as far as you could and stay there, Bail," Jenn chastised me.

I frowned in my seat, "Hey, we were having fun and, besides, Spring Break is just after this week, right?"

She sighed and sat on my table. The class was having a 'lazy week' so no one except Jason and Niko were paying attention to this conversation. "Bail, other than your record for being a 'bad' person, you can get suspended for missing too much school. And too many suspensions will lead to an expulsion that even you can't threaten Vanders to ignore," she said.

"I haven't even been absent a lot! Not to be judgy, but you've been absent more than I have," I pointed out.

Niko nodded, "Actually, that's true, Jenn."

She shook her head, "Anyway... I'm just looking out for you like your dad asked me to."

I sighed and leaned back in my chair so I could put my legs up on the table. "Yeah, I know. Sorry, it won't happen again," I subsided. When she smiled, patted my leg, then walked away to do some work, I turned to Niko. "Are they back yet?"

He shook his head slowly.

"I'm gonna kill her, I swear," I breathed angrily.

"Aw, crap, what now?" Jason groaned from Carter's jeep.

We were on our way home and got lost again. Now, the SUV had a flat and we didn't have a spare tire. I was pissed beyond belief.

"Maybe we can-"

"Hey, Roni, I think you should keep quiet. You know, so I don't kill you while I'm already pissed," I snapped, interrupting her.

"Well, excuse me for trying to help, Harrison," she shot back.

I jumped up in my seat and reached for her as he reached for me. Cute. She thought she could try. Right when my hand grabbed her throat, my car door opened and Carter was dragging me out by the waist. I saw Lakefield do the same to Veronica, who was wide eyed.

"Stop your shit, both of you!" Carter yelled, setting me down on the side of the road.

I stood up and faced him, "Try that again, I dare you." Yeah, we'd have a lovely relationship. (Cough, cough. Sarcasm.)

He met my glare levelly. "Bail, not now. Calm the hell down so we can figure this shit out, okay?" he replied.

I rolled my eyes and sat on a rock. We weren't far from the beach, but it was too far for a walking trip. Of course, we also had no phone service. "How is it that we had phone service at the beach, but not here?" I groaned.

"My dad has his own service pole there," Lakefield said, rounding the front of the SUV.

The rest of the girls emptied the car. The twins went to Veronica, and Drey and Mar came to me. "Well, that happened," Mar muttered, crossing her arms.

"I told her to shut up, didn't I? Her fault she didn't listen," I grimaced.

"I thought you handled it well, sis," Drey smirked, lighting a cigarette.

Carter sighed and examined the flat. "So, what the hell do we do now?" he frowned to himself.

"You take the girls home and get a spare with the jeep, and us guys will wait here," Jason planned.

Mar nodded, "Okay, but I I think you guys should stay in the car. This place is all woods, and I'm pretty sure there are wolves and bears out here."
