I unloaded Thowra off the float and my Miniature Pony, Chip went crazy when he saw him.

They both galloped around the paddock like mad ponies, bucking and playing.

After 1 day, Thowra was settled and back to normal, so I took the saddle rack and the grooming box down to our shed and I fetched Thowra from the paddock and tied him up and began brushing him.

When he was clean, I threw on his saddlecloth then saddle, and did up the girth.

Then I pushed the bit into his mouth and pulled the bridle over his head.

I mounted and we started flatwork.

I was entering the 1.10m jumping and 1st prize was $300 which I would be able to put towards a new horse, I love Thowra very much but I can't ride a 12.2hh horse forever, I'm already too tall for him. You also won a gold trophy engraved with you and your horse's names and a big blue, red and white rosette and a $200 voucher for HorseWorld, a equestrian store filled with everything horsey.

We began our jumping starting low and getting higher as we warmed up more.

We eventually put the jumps up to 95cm and with ease, Thowra was over them.

"Good boy!" I exclaimed. "That's enough work for today Thowra"

I rode him back to the shed and untacked him, brushed him down, then turned him out.

For the next two weeks we trained, the jumps got higher, the confidence got better and the tack got cleaner!

I spent the night before the Evergreen Show Jumping Competition cleaning my tack. I polished until I could literally see my reflection in it.
