Elevator

Olivia:

I had finished up filming for the day and was on Twitter posting some jokes. Noah was beside me looking up facts about aliens.

"So got any plans for tonight?" Noah asks.

"Not really, I'm probably just going to watch the handmaids tale and eat ice cream" I joke.

"Sounds pretty lit" He says.

"You know me, life of the party!" I say smiling.

Courtney walks in with Keith and Shayne. They're all laughing at some joke Shayne told.

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"Nothing much" Courtney says smiling.

"Ok" I mutter.

Shayne comes over and sits next to me on the couch. He places his behind us while the others aren't looking and rubs my lower back. I shot him a look.

"Shayne!" I whisper yell.

"What?" He says.

"Theyre right there" I whisper again.

"And?" He says.

I hit his foot with my foot hard enough to get him to move his hand.

"Ow!" He said.

"You alright bro?" Noah asked turning his head.

"Yeah I think I stepped on something, that's all" Shayne said.

"Cool" Noah said and turned back around.

Shayne looked at me with a glare. I just looked at him innocently.

"What?" I say.

"Nothing.." he says.

"Mhm" I say smirking.

I get up off the couch and get ready to leave. Shayne signals goodbye with the rest of the squad as I walk to the elevator. Courtney joins me in the elevator. We are silent in the elevator until she suddenly pipes up.

"Hey Olivia?" She asks.

"Yeah?" I say.

"Can I tell you something?" Courtney says.

"Uhh sure" I say not knowing what to expect.

"I think Shayne likes me" She says.

"Hahaha" I burst out laughing before quickly covering my mouth.

She glares at me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean that" I say trying to apologise.

"Why did you laugh then?" She says unconvinced.

"Because I'm just surprised that's all" I say.

"Why do you think he likes you?" I ask stifling another laugh.

"Well, hes always super nice to me jokes with me all the time and has been asking me to hang out with him a lot recently" She says.

I think back to the makeup room when he invited her. She has no idea why he actually did that I think to myself.

"Oh, yeah maybe he does have a thing for you" I lie.

"I wanted to tell you before I let him down" she says.

"Wait why me?" I ask.

"Because of you guy's history" She says.

"Oh" I say shifting my feet.

"You're gonna let him down?" I say.

"Yeah, he's a nice guy but I'm not really into him" she says.

"That's ok" I reply.

"I was wondering if you could help me out?" She asks.

"With what?" I say.

"Can you help me let him down tommorow?" She asks.

"Sure" I say.

"Thanks Liv" She says before the doors open.

We walk out and say goodbye befor going to our cars. She drives off and then I do as well. On the drive home I processed what she said. I'm supposed to help her tell Shayne that she's not interested. I was gonna tell Shayne but then I got a better idea. Im going to go along with it just so I can see his face. I laugh out loud to myself, this is gonna be fun.
