The fight of the century, Claude vs Bankotsu

Chapter 3

While we were all warming up for tonight's performance, my brother came rushing in with news that made me swallow hard. "The queen of The Land of Kitsune will be attending tonight's performance, so I want to make sure we put on the best show we have ever done" Taka said. "You alright, Sarcasm?" Dagger asked. "No, Dagger. I'm not, and besides, the person who is attending the performance tonight, is my mother, the queen of The Land of Kitsune" I said panicked. He nodded.

"I need to find dad" I said running out the performance tent. Taka ran out after me and grabbed my wrist. "Melz, you sure your ok?" he asked. I gave him a look. "No, big brother, I'm not. Mom's coming?" I asked irritated.

"Should we cancel the show?" Taka asked. "No, you just do tonight's performance, I'll just hide in my tent, I'm sorry" I said. He nods and hugged me. I hugged back. This is why I love my big brother I thought.

After the show, I came out of my tent only to see my brother talking to dad. I walked over and hugged both of them. "How'd the show go?" I asked. "It went fine, but I really needed your help, Sarcasm" Taka replies. "I know, and I'm sorry, big brother" I say feeling bad.

"Dad, you look meaner than usual" I said. He looked at me and then over at a guy in a butler uniform. "He new, big brother?" I asked. Taka nodded very slightly. Before I could say anything, I noticed that my mom never left the circus and she saw me and I hid behind my dad.

"I found you, Melody" she said. My eyes widened with fear. "Run" my brother whispered softly in my ear. I nodded and ran. I didn't even look back at my brother and dad to see if they were going to be alright.

I kept running until I fell in the middle of the road and there was a carriage coming in view. This is it, I'm going to die being run over by a carriage I thought. I closed my eyes and waited for death to claim me but it never happened. I opened them and see a man in a butler uniform and a boy in noblemen clothing. The butler held out his hand to me and said that he was sorry for almost killing me.

"Its not your fault, I should have been paying attention to where I was going" I said taking his hand as he helped me up. I dusted off my dress and I noticed that the butler was a demon just like me but I'm only half. "Claude, I want the girls name and I want her as a maid so Hannah can have a friend" the boy said to his butler. "As you wish, Your Highness" the butler Claude said. Is this boy a prince or something? I thought.

Claude walked over to me and asked my name. "Melody Spears, daughter to William T. Spears" I said. "I'm Claude Faustus, Trancy butler, my lady" he said bowing.
