Sharna P.O.V.
"Cindy? Isn't she just like Vanessa?" I couldn't understand how she could be helpful.
"Cindy and I were really close friends in middle school, she is a pro when it comes to technology. She could set up a gps and really help us out on our mission," Harriet twisted a lock of hair around her finger. It seemed to be a habit of hers.
"I don't know..."
"Come on! She could really help us, Sharn. Look, I know you are all lovey-dovey about Carson right now but you need to switch your brain on, Cindy could be a real saviour for you," Harriet looked serious. Her crystal eyes dulling with concern.
"Fine, we can talk to her about it at school," my voice, monotone. "And also, I do not 'love' Carson...he is just a friend,"
Harriet smirked.
"That's what they all say," she winked at me and battered her eyelashes, imitating Vanessa.
Harriet and I were hanging out at her place. We were eating crackers with hummus and discussing the mission. A warmth feeling, like sitting in front of a blazing fire, crept to my soul. These humans were willing to go out of their way to save my mother, that they've never met before.
It felt surreal.
In a a month - or two time, I could possibly be seeing my mother again, whom I haven't seen in nine years. I hugged my knees to my chest in anticipation.

Cindy P.O.V.
"Hey Cindy, I am going to ask a big favour from you..." Harriet tugged on my shoulder.
"Yes?"
"My friend, Sharna, the new girl, needs your help,"
My help? What could Sharna possibly want from me?
"Her, Carson and I are planning a mission to save her mother, who she hasn't seen in nine years," Harriet sounded desperate. "You are really good with technology, maybe you could set up a GPS and help us with our mission,"
A mission? Now I was intrigued. My love for adventure itched me to ask more questions.
"Mission, eh? Now we're talking,"
Harriet laughed. It felt like old times talking with my friend. Escaping should be easy for me, my mother is always in her office thinking about how to get more profit and stuff. My father is always overseas investing properties. My butler is the only hard part of my escape.
He is my best friend so I will have to convince him not to tell anyone about me escaping. Maybe he could tell my parents (if they spontaneously cared all of a sudden) that I am going on a camping trip with some friends.
Sharna came over and greeted me with a smile.
"Has Harri told you about the plan?" She Asked.
"Yes, she has, I would love to join the mission, it sounds fun," then I whispered. "Getting away from Vanessa would be great,"
Harriet and Sharna nodded and cracked a smile.
"Hey cuz," it was Carson. He strolled over, hands in pockets, looking sharp as usual. I don't know if you know this, but, Carson is my cousin.
"Hey Carson. Oh, did you buy Aunty Betty her present yet? Mum asked me to ask you about it," I had my priorities.
"Oh, um, sorry, no,"
Sharna and Harriet looked extremely confused.
"Oh, 'sup Sharn and Harri, seems that you have already met my cousin, Cindy,"
"Yeah, she's helping us with our mission," Sharna was stunned...blushed like crazy. What was up with that?
"Really? That's sick. Always good to have a relative on the team,"
So this was our team: Sharna, Harriet, Carson and me. This team would be complete if only we had another we had another...
"Carson, baby, what are you doing? Our table is over here, silly,"
Vanessa.
"Aww hey, Cindy," she gave me a small, fake wave. She didn't care that I wasn't sitting at her table. She was probably glad.
"Oh, um, hey Ness, is it okay if I chill with these girls today?" Carson asked.
The look on Vanessa's face would make you think that Carson had asked to jump off a cliff into a pit of sharks.
"Carson! No, don't hang around these girls, wouldn't you rather be around me? Come on," and with that, she grabbed his arm and tugged him towards the table of Queens. He turned his head around and mouthed help me. I laughed and shook my head.
It's his problem, not mine.
Vanessa sashayed away, her designer jeans fitting perfectly on her body. Her white and gold blouse somehow still showing her curves. Her hair swaying at her waist. Her statement black Louis Vuitton heels clomping on the tiled floor as she strutted.
Heads turned, people tried getting her to talk to them - her fans. Carson looked so uncomfortable, he may as well be hanging from a two hundred story building. The poor guy.
I turned back to Sharna and Harriet. These were my true friends.
"So...where do you guys sit at lunch?"
A/N: what did you think of Cindy's perspective? Carson and Cindy are cousins?? Did not see that coming! Also, create a ship name for Carson and Sharna in the comments! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry that I haven't posted lately, writers block sucks 😫. Anyway, keep reading #waterssquad ❤️❤️❤️
