(Scott's POV)

Scott listened to the faint beeping. He had hated the sound for a long time, but now it meant the woman he loved was still alive.

From what Virgil said, Emma was lucky to be alive at all. Whatever was making her sick, it was shutting her body down from the inside.

"She probably won't be able to walk when she wakes up," Virgil had said.

Scott opened his eyes and looked at Emma.

She didn't look like the same Emma he knew.

Her ever tan skin was pale. Her hands were icy cold to the touch. The light weight gown hung loose around her.

Scott had to hold back tears. Emma had used her powers, knowing full well what could happen to her, because of him and his brothers. It hurt him to see her like this.

Scott held her hand, gently rubbing small circles on the back of it.

"You bastard!" Someone shouted, causing Scott to turn.

That was bad move on his part. A fist slammed into his jaw, knocking him to the floor.

"How dare you even touch my sister after what you've done!" Percy yelled at Scott.

"I didn't do anything to her!" Scott said, an edge creeping into his voice.

"Then why is she hooked up to these machines!"

Scott balled his fist.

"Shut up!" Scott yelled and slammed his fist into Percy's gut. The older man double over coughing.

"You asked for it," he hissed and decked Scott again.

It became an all out fist fight, the two of them crashing around the med bay. Jars hit the floor as Percy picked Scott up and tossed him onto a counter.

Scott winced as he felt shards of broken glass slice into his back as he slammed into the wall behind the counter.

"Never mess with my family," Percy moved towards Scott, a sword gripped in his hand.

"Stop!" a voice froze the pair.

Annabeth walked into the room.

"Annabeth, how can you defend him? He-," Percy started to say.

"Save it, Seaweed Brain. He helped saved your sister's life and here you are beating the snot out of him" she said, glaring at her husband.

Scott started to get to his feet, only to receive a kick in the ribs from Percy. He felt the sickening crunch as Scott's ribs broke.

Before Percy could kick him again, a blur latched on to his legs. His eldest wrapped herself around Percy's legs to stop him from kicking.

"Bianca, what are you doing?" Percy shouted, trying to pulled his legs free but failed.

"Protecting family, daddy. Just like Aunt Emma and you do," the little blonde girl stared up at her at her father.

"He's not family. He got Aunt Emma hurt," Percy said coldly.

"No, he didn't. She chose to fight the furies by herself, Percy. I saw the recording. She called them family, and said that she love Scott. That makes him family," Annabeth said, putting her hand on his shoulder.

"Its true," Scott said getting to his feet.

Percy grunted and Bianca let his legs go.

"One more thing," Scott said pulling back his fist.

He let it fly, striking Percy's jaw with a sickening crunch as Scott broke his hand on the demigod's face.
