(Scott's POV)

Scott paced the family room.

Back and forth, back and forth.

"Scott, please stop," Gordan said.

"Scott, dear you are wearing a hole in the carpet," Grandma Tracy said, a look of worry written on her face.

Scott shook his head. He refused to stay still. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw it all over again.

"Scott run!" Emma said.

The wave crashed onto the shore then it froze.

Emma sat there, arms raised and muscles shaking from holding back the wave.

"Get out of here!" Emma shouted.

They had all been on the beach, enjoying a slow day. Then the ground had started shaking.

Emma had spotted the tidal wave before anyone else. She had told them to get to high ground. Scott had rushed to carry her to safety when Alan's foot had gotten caught in a small hole.

She had told Scott to take his brother first and then come back for her.

He had been too slow. When he came back to the beach for Emma, the wave was almost on top of them.

Emma had used her powers, not knowing what could happen to save his life.

Virgil came into the room, wiping sweat away from his forehead, jerking Scott from his thoughts.

The look on his face told Scott that he didn't have good news.

"She can't breath on her own anymore."

Scott's own breath caught in his throat. First her legs, now this.

"I'm sorry, Scott. I would go say your goodbyes. Percy's already in there," Virgil said throwing himself onto the nearest couch.

Scott nodded and entered the med bay.

His eyes stung as he saw Emma laying there.

Her black hair was spread around her too pale face. The white of the gown and bedding was a stark contrast to Emma's normally lively attitude.

"Scott."

Percy glared at him.

"Percy."

The two shared a nod.

They stood there in silence, neither one wanting to break it.

"I always thought I would be the first," Percy said sitting down. Scott followed his lead.

"What?"

"To die. I never thought it would be the other way around."

"Really?"

"I kind of jump headfirst into things, while Emma holds back."

"She does?"

"Yeah. She has a bad habit of bottling up her emotions. You should've seen some of the times she lost it."

"Bad?"

"Well, given the fact most of camp heads for the hills, I'd say so."

Scott chuckled. Percy joined in. That seemed like something that Emma would do.

Soon, it was silent again.

"Ocean," a soft whisper broke the silence.

"Emma!" Scott said leaping to his feet, soon followed by Percy.

"Ocean...Heal...Me."

"What does she mean?" Scott asked Percy.

"The water! It can heal her! Come on, we need to get her into the ocean now," Percy said pulling the covers off of Emma.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. The water gives us a power boost as well as healing injuries." Percy lifted Emma out of the bed and rushed towards the doors outside.

"But then it could kill her?"

"No. Our dad won't let that happen," Percy said confidently.

Scott could vagally hear Virgil yelling at them, but he just turned him out.

The pair reached the shore and began wading into the sea. Percy handed Emma to Scott.

"You need to be there when she wakes up," Percy said.

Scott could hear his brothers yelling at him as he went deeper into the water.

"Scott, what the hell are you doing?"

"Get back here, Scott!"

Scott stared down at Emma's face. He had to see her eyes open one more time, to kiss her one more time.

To see her alive one more time.

"I'll give anything if you can just bring her back," Scott whispered and set her in the water.

For a second, nothing happened and Emma's face sunk beneath the surface.

Then the water around her started glowing. Scott could feel the power flowing into Emma from the ocean.

Emma's eyes flew open and she sat up, coughing and spitting the water out of her mouth.

"Emma!" Scott cried.

"Scott? Please tell you didn't die too," Emma said getting to her feet.

He opened his mouth but no words came out. He couldn't say anything.

Scott scoped Emma up into his arms and spun around with her. Tears of joy mixed with the salty ocean water as he slashed around.

"You're alive!" Scott finally found his voice and shouted the words.

(Emma's POV)

Emma could feel the poison finish leaving her system as Scott spun her around.

The water had healed her completely. Her legs worked just fine and she didn't feel sick at all.

"Scott, put me down. You're making me dizzy," Emma cried.

He set her on her feet, but kept his arms around her.

"You can let me go."

"Never. I'm never letting you go again."

"Is that so?" Emma felt a grin pull at the corners of her mouth.

"Yep." Scott pulled her a bit closer, "And I have something to tell you."

"What?"

"Emmarelda Heap, daughter of Posiden, I love you more then anything in the world."

"Scott Carpenter Tracy, I love you too."

The two kissed, the sun setting behind them and their respective brothers yelling at them.
