Chapter 13

Hazel's POV
"Hazel hurry up!"

I turned around and saw Piper ushering me over.

"Coming! Coming! Jeez."

"Ok Hazel, guess what."

"What?"

"I don't know I'm just trying to start up a conversation."

"Wow Pipes."

She just smiled sheepishly.

"Wait for me!"

I turn around and see Annabeth running through the halls bumping into everyone.

"Sorry! Excuse me! Coming through. Ohmygods can you just move!"

Putting her arms around our shoulders, she said breathlessly, "Hey guys."

Piper raised a brow but ignored what just happened. "Hey Annie. Guess what?"

"What?"

"Pipes..."

She turned to me and rolled her eyes. "Hazel I'm going to actually say something interesting this time."

"Okay...."

Piper took a deep breath. "So, Jason kinda asked me on a study date apparently."

Annabeth raised a brow. "Apparently?"

"Well, before lunch Jason asked me to come over and study and when Percy asked Jason if he 'popped the question' he said yes," she took a breath in the middle. "-making me believe that he asked someone out when he really just asked me to study at his house which is also technically Thalia's house which I've been to."

I pointed to her. "That, is a mouthful."

She stuck her tongue out at me while Annabeth said, "I guess that's a good thing since you've been crushing on Jason since forever."

Piper blushed. "Not forever. And I'm not the only one who's been crushing on someone for a long time... cough*Hazel*cough."

I turned red. "W-what do you mean?"

Annabeth tapped her chin. "Hm, I don't know, maybe someone who's name starts with and F?"

"Who's name is also Frank?" Piper added.

"Uh..."

"Speaking of him, you might want to turn around."

Listening to Piper's directions, I turned around and saw Frank walking towards me.

"H-hey Hazel. Piper and Annabeth."

"H-hi Frank."

Piper and Annabeth just waved.

"If you don't mind, can I talk to Hazel for a moment?"

Piper pushed me into Frank. "Sure go ahead."

They started walking to their next class. "Good Luck!" she mouthed at me.

I blushed and rolled my eyes.

But I probably needed it.

Frank's POV
"How'd you do it?"

Jason looked up at me and sighed. "What do you mean?"

"Well, I asked Hazel to come over and study but we never finished our conversation and I gave her my number but she never texted me back."

Percy rolled his eyes. "Just go up and ask her."

"Well sorry I can't do that or else I'll make a fool of myself."

Percy grinned. "As long as you do better than Jason, your fine. He was a stuttering, blushing mess."

Said person blushed. "Shut up Percy. I could say the same to you."

Percy, being the oblivious person he is, looked genuinely confused.

Jason sighed. "Never mind."

Percy shrugged and turned to me. "Go get her!"

He pushed me down the hallway and when I started walking, I saw Piper and Annabeth look at me.

Then Hazel turned around.

"H-hey Hazel. Piper and Annabeth." Oops, I stuttered.

"H-hi Frank."

Piper and Annabeth just gave me a small wave.

I took a deep breath. "If you don't mind, can I talk to Hazel for a moment?"

Piper pushed Hazel towards me. "Sure go ahead."

As Piper and Annabeth walked away, I saw that Hazel's cheeks were tinted pink.

"S-so, I wanted to talk to you about the project and if you were coming over?"

"Oh! I've been meaning to text you but I keep forgetting!"

"So are you free today?"

"Yeah, meet me at my locker after school." the warning bell rang. "Well, I have to go, Bye Frank!"

"Bye Hazel."

I start walking to my class and see Percy wiggling his eyebrows at me.

You may be wondering, 'Frank, how are you such good friends with him if you met him only a few days ago?'

Well, I don't know. We just hit it off. I mean he basically becomes friends with everyone he talks to unlike me so.

And if you weren't wondering, then all well now you know.

Anyway, back to Percy wiggling his eyebrows. "How'd it go?"

"We're meeting after school by her locker."

Jason nudged me on the shoulder. "Your making progress man."

Leo jumped into the conversation. "But you can never beat me. I'm a ladies man."

Percy snorted. "Yea. Repeat that to me when you're able to land a date with Calypso."

"Is that a challenge I hear?"

His eyes widened. "W-wait I didn't mean it. It's a joke! You're going to get rejected!"

But Leo already ran down the hallway.

I raised a brow. "Why'd you say Calypso?"

Percy grinned. "It's so obvious that he likes her."

Jason looked at him in shock. "B-but how'd you know that if you're so- but you can't even- you know what? I don't even want to know."

Percy looked at him confused. "Huh?"

"Whatever. Let's get to class."

Percy ran to catch up to him. "Wait tell me!"
