Chapter 35

Hazel's POV
"I'll see you later then. Okay bye."

I threw my phone into my bag and knocked on the door.

I could hear from the other side of the door. "Mommy! Someone's at the door!"

"Yes! Coming!"

The door swung open, revealing a messy looking Sally Jackson. "Hi Hazel! Come in." She wiped her hands on a towel. "Percy and Nico are upstairs."

I walked in and placed my bags down on the chair. "Thank you Sally."

She smiled at me softly. "Do you want anything to eat dear?"

I was about to say no when my stomach growled loudly. My cheeks tinted pink and Sally grinned.

"Let's get you something to eat." She turned to the kitchen and waved me over.

"You're lucky. I just made a batch of cookies. You can have some."

My mouth watered. "Thank you so much."

As I stuffed the cookies in my face Sally looked up the stairs. "Can you bring this plate of cookies upstairs when you go up?"

"Sure."

I grabbed the plate and waved before making my way up the stairs.

"Hazel!"

I turned and smiled wide. "Hello Tyson!"

He gave me a toothy grin. "Can I have cookie?"

I peeked into the kitchen and saw Sally give a nod.

"Okay, but just one. I have to save some for Percy and Neeks."

His eyes got wide. "Thanks! You take some too, right? Before Brother and Nico take them all?"

I gave him a look of awe. "I already got some. Thank you though Ty."

He saluted before running to his room.

I slowly walked up the stairs, getting tired already. I swear walking up the stairs is more tiring than anything in the world.

"Hazel come here!"

I looked down the hall and saw Percy waving me over, grinning like crazy.

In all honesty, it looked kind of scary.

I prayed a quick prayer to the gods before walking towards him.

"What do you need?"

Percy pouted. "Nico is being mean to me."

Nico looked at Percy with an 'are you serious?' expression.

He scoffed. "Am not. I'm just telling Percy here that he sucks."

I laughed. "Neeks why would you say that?"

Percy smirked. "Yea, how could you say that to moi?"

Nico glared at him. "A number of reasons Fish Boy."

Percy raised a brow. "Like what, Death Breath?"

He paused for a second not knowing what to say, then shrugged. "I don't know. There's no need for them. You just do."

Percy turned to me. "Hazel." He whined. "Make Nico go in timeout."

I laughed. "I don't think I'm qualified to do that."

"Uhgh. Fine."

Percy frowned before sniffing the air.

He spun around and eyed the plate in my hands.

"Where'd you get that Hazel?"

I coughed. "Uh, your mom gave them to me."

I glanced at Nico who was eyeing them hungrily.

I cleared my throat. "They're for the both of y-"

Suddenly the cookies were smacked out of my hand.

"W-wait I only got 2 cookies!"
