Chapter 20

Percy's POV
Today after school I was going to hang out with Calypso.

You're probably wondering, 'Percy, why are you hanging out with her?'

Well, it was getting awkward between us so we finally sat down and talked it out. After that we decided we would be friends and it's been pretty good ever since.

So now we're just catching up on everything.

And if you weren't wondering, you now know anyway so yippee for you.

Anyway, Calypso told me to meet at my locker so there I was, alone at my locker.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder.

And I assumed it was Calypso.

Big mistake.

I turned around. "Hey C- um, Annabeth!"

Annabeth raised a brow. "What were you about to call me?"

I scratched the back of my neck. "Nothing!"

She looked at me dead in the eye. "What. Were. You. About. To. Call. Me."

I sighed. "I was about to call you-" Then I realized something. "Wait, why do you care?"

Annabeth kept a stern look on her face but the small blush creeping on her face told me otherwise. "Because. I want to know."

I smirked. "But why would you want to know? For all you know I could have been calling you Chase."

She frowned. "Seaweed Brain, you never call me Chase. And it's not the same C sound."

I copied her frown. "Maybe I forgot how to pronounce your last name."

She sighed. "Believable."

I grinned. "Exactly- wait." I pouted. "That's not nice."

She smiled at me. "So you wanna do something later?"

I was about to answer when someone came into our conversation.

"Hey Percy. Hey Annabeth."

I pointed at Calypso. "That."

Calypso and Annabeth both frowned.

Well, Calypso pouted. "I'm a 'That' now?"

I grinned. "You've been down graded."

Annabeth spoke, the frown still visible on her face. "So are you guys hanging out after school?"

Calypso nodded. "We wanted to catch up and whatnot."

She gave Calypso a glare and smiled at me before she waved and left.

I hooked my arm with Calypso's. "So what do you wanna do?"

Calypso smiled. "Know any good pizza parlors around here?"

I copied her smile. "Yeah. Like old times?"

She nodded. "Let's go."

I led her to my car and we left the school.

He saw me and did a double take.

"Percy?"

I nodded with tears in my eyes.
