I rose an eyebrow at my mate as he roamed around the bedroom of this stupid apartment, grabbing a shirt here, some pants there, while he explained the preposterous plan.
"I'm sorry, and you think there won't be plenty of hunters guarding the place because...?" I asked, leaning back on the pillow propped haphazardly against the headboard.
Scott hesitated, peering at me, face painted with confusion. "Liam didn't tell you?"
I give him a look. "I've been awake for all of five minutes. I haven't even left this bed. You are the only other person in this room besides myself- of course he hasn't."
Scott winced. "Right, well, he has a plan to draw the hunters away, which, I trust because he's coming up with things on his own like an alpha should." I smile a little at that. Liam was slipping into the role in his own time, hopefully. "And then we sneak in, blow up the weapons, find out their master plan and stop Gerard!"
"Foolproof." I deadpan disbelievingly. "How many people are involved in this plan?"
"Well Lydia and Argent are going to be at the control board, get us in, cover the cameras, open the armory door, you know, the tech." Scott attempts to explain, but he's a little out of his league when it comes to tech. "Then you, me, and Malia will get in the armory, snoop around a bit, set the explosives, and once we're driving away, BOOM!" He raises his arms in an explosion gesture with the sound effect, and I roll my eyes, biting back a grin at his antics. "We finally get the upper hand."
I nod, processing. "I like it. And since Gerard is always two steps ahead of us, I'll definitely find pleasure in knocking him down a peg or two." Scott smiles broadly, showing off his dimples, and I focus on them dreamily before giving myself a mental shake. "And while the plan is actually half thought out, like all of our plans, I'd like to know what Liam's plan is, because in case you forgot, all of his plans usually fail and suck."
"Hey!" A muffled indignant shout comes from the bathroom where Liam is brushing his teeth.
I roll my eyes, glaring at Scott as he holds back a laugh. "Oh, don't give me that. Get over here and tell me your plan."
There's an impatient growl, the sound of running water, and then a couple of stumbles as Liam finally makes his way to the doorway. He opens the door, making to enter, when I stop him.
"Hey, hey, hey- you know the rules!" I reprimand the beta, who glares.
"Oh come on, I'm not-" be begins to complain when his face changes to indignation upon realization. "Hey, this isn't even your room!"
"Irrelevant. It goes for any room I inhabit." I state, and he scowls.
"Indi, I'm sixteen, not six. I'm not going to mess up your room." he deadpans, crossing his arms, and I raise an eyebrow at the beta.
"Yeah, no, the last time I let you in my bedroom for five minutes, somehow my carpet was muddy, blankets vanished into thin air, and all of my cosmetics were messed with." I recall, ticking off the accusations on my fingers as I listed them.
Liam huffs. "That was not my fault."
"You were holding a tube of mascara with concealer smeared everywhere, my blankets in a ball under your muddy sneakers."
"...Okay, it was my fault, but that was years ago!"
Scott blinks at his beta. "Liam, that was last week."
Liam opens his mouth to protest when I stop him. "You're not coming in, now tell me your plan."
Liam pouts, but begrudgingly sinks to the floor in the doorway. "So Theo and I-"
