SCP Headcanons (DISCONTINUED)

More SCP 049 headcanons

Hey, I'm back with another chapter! Warning: This is a pretty long chapter.

  Alright, so I can't remember if I've made a headcanon off of the some of these before, so I'm sorry ahead of time if some of these are a repeat. I will address this creature as a him in here, but occasionally i'll address him/it as an it too later on. Pronouns aren't a really important thing to me when talking about this creature. Now, I found out earlier that some of these 'headcanons' are actually canon facts too, you can find similar to almost verbatim facts on his page on the SCP wiki, I wasn't aware of this during the process of making some of these (head)canons though. Like this first one for example,

1. SCP-049 has expressed that it does not require sustenance (food, water, rest...ect), but he enjoys it and feels that mainly the food helps to put him in the right mind to operate and continue his work. This is an actual fact. He added to this statement by saying "This is, of course, elementary knowledge for the practical physician. I would have thought you would have learned this during your education!".  Go ahead and check out his wiki for this fact.

So, these won't all be headcanons, there will be some actual facts here. I'll state which is which in the (head)canons themselves.

2. 049 still hasn't given an actual answer to what this pestilence of his is. Doctors and others here in the real world have speculated on it saying that it could be humanity, human mortality or possibly human ignorance, but there still isn't an exact answer. Partial fact, partial headcanon here.

3. Surprisingly, 049 doesn't seem know what the bubonic, black or really any kind of plague is. This is an actual fact that you'll find on his wiki page throughout his interviews.

4. Despite his old age (he canonly claims to have originated in 15th century France), 049 can actually sing pretty well, though he doesn't really do so as much as he used to nowadays. Not a canon fact, just a headcanon.

5. The robes/garb and gloves of his are identical to a thick hide built up on his skin, while his mask is composed of a kind of chitin growing out of the bones of his face. Actual fact here, I know this is an actual fact since I actually got this off of his page earlier. If you need me to define what chitin is, just comment on it (politely please) and I'll define it to you.

6. Actual fact, got this off his page. The space in his bag seems to have no end really, he's been observed pulling objects larger than the bag itself in order to operate. 

7. Lately 049 seems to be more agitated than how he used to be, the reason why is still unconfirmed. Full-on headcanon here.

8. Another fact. 049 has recently kil-..."cured" Dr. Hamm, a doctor who used to interview him. This incident occurred on  I believe 04/16/2017. He believed that he didn't need to explain himself for the answer should apparently have been quite simple. He, the doctor, had the pestilence and needed to be cured and it was crucial for 049 to do this. 049 was also believed to be mournful during the interview afterwards, he explained further on this in another interview. Check out his page for more details.

9. 049 insists that his cure is indeed an actual cure. According to him, his cure is NOT death, it's just a cure that needs more research from him. Another actual fact.

10. Canon fact here. 049 believes he is a 'man' of science, not emotion. Though yes, he has shown strong emotion here and there, he doesn't include his emotions in his work. He doesn't expect us humans, mainly the scientists and doctors, to understand why he does what he does either since well, we really can't understand it. He's actually said that the scientists/doctors he's been around in the facility humans are not men of science, but men of emotion during an interview in the past.

11. Headcanon here. 049 can mimic just about any kind of human sounding voice out there, so he could mimic a pubescent teenage boy or a middle aged woman if he wanted to. They'd still have that slight metallic tone of his though.

12. If 049 were to be a human being, he definitely would have been locked up in a mental facility by now. Unless he also somehow had the abilities he has now, then he would still end up in the SCP facility. This might as well be a fact tbh.

Should I just make a separate book on SCP 049 or should I just plop them in here? I have a whole lot of other actual, canon facts about him for those who don't want to read his page along with quite a few more headcanons.
