The bell rang signaling the end of class and the start of lunch. I didn't even notice as everyone began to flee the room as I stared out the window.

It was raining.

I couldn't help but think about a certain girl I saw last time it rained.

"Are you coming?" A voice asked breaking me out of my train of thought. I turned to see Daniel and Michael, two of my best friends, looking at me as they stood by the classroom door.

I cleared my throat before standing up and grabbing my bag off the floor.

"You okay?" Daniel asked. I shrugged.

I couldn't stop thinking about that day. Even the sound of rain against the ceiling stood as a reminder.

"Yeah, just tired." I lied.

I didn't even know how to begin to explain what I was feeling. Even if I did I doubt they would ever understand.

Daniel looked at me for a moment clearly not believing my lie but didn't press it.

As we walked by a row of lockers I noticed the girl that effortlessly captured my thoughts talking to another girl.

I didn't even have to think about it as I started walking in their direction.

"Where are you going?" Michael said as he noticed me leaving them. "You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up," I said over my shoulder.

As I moved closer to the two girls I noticed that the other girl was the blind girl I usually saw Rebecca with.

I stopped as I stood before them. They ignored me as they continued to talk to one another. I cleared my throat.

Rebecca's cool eyes landed on me. Her expression was void of any emotion as she raised her brow at me.

"Hey, Rebecca," I said trying and failing to sound casual.

She seemed confused. "Hey..." She said slowly her voice trailing off.

I frowned. Had she really forgotten that day? It's been a week and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.

"Devon," I said supplying her with my name. Instead, she looked even more confused. Her eyes stormed just as much as the sky outside.

"Devon?"

"Devon Sanders." The blind girl answered saying my name. How did she know who I was? I felt bad. She knew my name and I had never thought to learn hers.

"Oh yeah," Rebecca mumbled softly as she turned back to the other girl and away from me.

"How's your car doing?" I asked trying to keep the conversation going. Rebecca turned to me. Her brow raised as if to ask why I was still in her presence. My neck felt warm as she looked at me."My car is fine." She answered finally. Her bright eyes were still on me.

I looked away from her. Her staring becoming too much. My eyes landed on her blind friend.

"That's...ugh cool," I mumbled.

I wasn't really sure why I walked over here. All I was doing was making a fool out of myself.

"This is my cousin Emma. Emma this is Devin." Rebecca said suddenly introducing me to her friend. Well, her cousin
