Daniel ran through out the building the meeting was held in and sped down the streets in his black truck, getting to the hospital as quick as possible.

"Cora Davenport, is she here?" Daniel asked and the nurse shook her head. "Yes she is, I- I got a call to examine a body." He said

"Okay, right this way, sweetie." She said guiding Daniel down the long, dull hallways.

The two stopped in front of the room that held Cora's corpse. "We're going to pull the plastic from her face, just say a simple yes if this is Cora Davenport."

Daniel dropped to his knees as tears poured out of his eyes, crying from his first real girlfriends dead body in front of him. He started to hyperventilate, clenching his chest from the hardcore emotional breakdown.

"That's her" he said and leaned against the wall, throwing his hands over his face.

Daniel gasped for air and quickly jumped up. "Where's Emily. She's only two years old. She was probably in the car-"

"Oh yes, Emily Seavey? I will show you to her room. Are you her father." The nurse asked.

Daniel nodded but sadly realized that he wasn't the biological father of Emily. Jonah Marias was.

"Hello, I'm Barba, you're lawyer." The older man shook Jack's hand.

Jack smiled and just replied with a small "hello" and sat down across from the lawyer. Barba began to place folders onto the table in front of Jack and stared at the curly haired boy.

"I'm all honesty, you have a very case and you have evidence but I need to get the story straight in your words to practice what we will say in court." The lawyer said as he took out a notepad and pen.

Jack nodded and sat up straight. He cleared his throat. "Ready?" Jack asked.

"Yes, but before we do this, I need the story in your words. I will ask questions and I will need to know the date of the assault."

Jack nodded. "Well it happened in January of this year, so twenty eighteen. I believe around January nineteenth."

Barba nodded and wrote down the date. "Describe the setting of the place, where did it take place."

"In the rehab facility of Los Anglos. The day was quiet and there was tension in the air." Jack said rubbing his hands together nervously.

"Okay now, tell the story."

"It was the day I was told I was going to be released within the next week and I was excited. There were these three men there who didn't like me for being gay. I uh, I went to the bathroom and they came in forcibly pressed their bodies against me, calling me fault words such as faggot.  They started to undress me and enter in me. They held me down and one of them covered my mouth while one dug their nails into my wrist." Jack said and froze.

"How old were the men? Do you think his was a hate crime?"

"Maybe in their forties and maybe." Jack mumbled and sighed. "Are they going to ask me about my drug addiction or mental health?" He asked worriedly.

"They shouldn't. And if they happen too, I will object to any of the questions." Barba said and nodding his head.

"When the men started to touch you or even penetrate you, did you use any of the following words, 'no' or 'stop' or even maybe a word that means you didn't want it?"

"I said to stop multiple times." Jack whispered and started to feel the tears prick his eyes. "I- I don't understand how someone could do this." Jack said and leaned back into his chair. "This is all my fault."

"Hey- hey listen to me. None of this is your fault. You are the victim, you didn't have a choice whether you said yes or no. They would've still forced you into having sex. You are doing the right thing by putting their asses in jail." Barba said and began to pack up his stuff. "It was pleasure meeting you, Jack." He smiled and shook Jack's hand once again.

"You too, thank you." Jack said and smiled towards the lawyer who returned the smile.

"Don't worry, they will be put away for quite some time." He said reassuringly, making Jack relax a little bit about the situation.
