"zach, you have therapy today. do not forget." corbyn said as he grabbed his car keys. "i can't drive you but i'm sure someone can, unless if you want to drive yourself- don't crash any of the cars. got it?"

"yes daddy." zach yelled and laughed as he watched corbyn stressfully walking throughout the house.

"hey- i thought i was daddy?" jack called out from on top of the stairs. "just kidding. anyways, i can take you to therapy."

"why thank you my love." zach said and smiled.

"i have to pick up emily from daycare anyways. i told daniel and jonah i would."

"why can't they?"

"because they're too busy figuring out their sexuality's with each other." jack said back and laughed.

zach's face turned red and he grabbed a sweater. "well ready?"

jack nodded and grabbed his keys and they both walked out to the car. the car ride was silent for the most part.

"do you ever wonder what would happen if you- you did die?"

jack raised his eyebrows and looked at his, now, fiancé.

"uh a little bit. why?" jack said scratching his neck.

"i've been thinking about it a lot. all the drugs you've done- the heroin, how none of us knew and we were all so fucking worried about you. what if you really did just end it all."

"zach- whats going on?"

"i'm worried that this wedding is going to be too much for you to handle and you're not going to know what to do." zach said and sighed. "i don't think you're capable of killing yourself but what if you turn to drugs again. how are we suppose to raise-"

"i've been sober for months, zach. i don't have any urges to go back to the drugs and alcohol. i- i wouldn't do that to you. especially now that i know we're getting married."

"i'm just worried about your mental health. you know?"

"i know and i'm sorry. i don't mean to make you worried, that wasn't my plan. it'll get better, okay? i'll get better." jack said and smiled towards Zach.

jack grabbed onto zach's hand and slowly pulled into the parking lot at the location of zach's therapy.

"i'll see you in an hour, okay?"

zach nodded and closed the door. once zach left, jack couldn't help but to break down in tears. this was his own fault.

it was his fault that his fiancé is now worried about him, but he's never done anything since he got out to make zach worried.

he looked at the time and started to drive to the day care where emily was. on the way there, he played his music loudly to block out the thoughts he had.

"stay with me. no, you don't need to run. my blood" jack screamed the lyrics to the song and realized how much he needed to let out all of this sadness.

he picked up emily and brought her back to the house, placing her in her pink crib. he sung her to sleep and slowly closed the door, getting the baby monitor.

he sat at the piano and played the many different chords. he began to play different many chords and sang loudly.

words rolled off of his tongue so easily, he forgot how much he loved to sing. he forgot how much singing relieved his sadness.

he heard clapping from behind him. he turned around to see daniel and jonah standing there.

"does this mean you're ready to start singing with us again?" daniel asked and sat down next to jack.

"i think so." jack said and chuckled.

jonah sat down on the other side of the piano bench and hugged jack.

"good because we all miss the iconic voice of jack robert avery. welcome back" jonah said and planted a big kiss on his cheek.
