I grinned, taking an envelope from the receptionist's hand. I make my way out of the leasing office, opening the envelope before making my way to my car. Bills are a fucking headache.
"Hey Lou!"
I turned around to see Niall walking towards me. I turn to him before noticing he was carrying some papers in his hands. I just shrugged off the thought of guessing what it was and just look at him.
"Hey Nialler, what's up?"
"Nothing much. I just came back from doing something exciting. I've been planning this for a while now, especially now that the holidays are around the corner"
"Oh yeah? What is it?"
"That's for me to know and for you to find out soon. Anyways, I'll catch you later"
"Alright, see ya"
What is an idiot like Niall planning? I hope it's not another one of his 'special food parties' again. Don't ask me what they are, trust me you don't want to know. I finally make it to my car, unlocking it before stepping inside. After pulling out of the parking lot, I start to drive to the cafe. Another day, another dollar.
Today is one of those days where I don't want to attend work. Ever since that day when Justin and I clashed, it's been pretty uncomfortable. We would walk past each other and not say a word. I dare not to speak to him, and when I do try, he turns the other way. To make things a bit more weird, he hasn't come to work in over two days.
I have asked Danielle if she knows why he hasn't shown up but she just gives me the same response every time, 'Just some personal business, he has to attend to'. I mean seriously, what kind of response is that? Is it really that much of a secret? But then again, why should I even care, right?
I finally make it to the cafe shop and park my car. I step out and lock all doors before making my way inside. Danielle was leaning over the counter, flipping through some pages in a magazine before looking up at me and smiles.
"Good morning Louis. Slow day, isn't it?"
"Yeah, very. There's no one here"
"Nope. Plus, Justin isn't coming in today so it's just the two of us again"
Again? Three days already.
"Don't be sad Lou. That goofball will be back soon and hopefully in a good mood"
"Y-Yeah, hopefully" a VERY GOOD mood.
