"Thank you, come again!"
I watched as the next customer left the cafe shop, continuing on with my cleaning. I pick up some leftover dishes from a table before taking them over to the sink behind the counter. I take out the broom and start to sweep the floors as I look up and notice the Canadian blonde sitting down at one of the tables, deep in thought as he stared at a piece of paper while wiggling a pen in his hand. I sighed before feeling a tap over my shoulder, realizing it was Danielle.
"Hey Lou, do you know what's up with Justin?"
"Well..he's just, stressed" I responded, looking back at him.
"Over what? The male pageant? I'm pretty sure he'll nail it"
"I-I wouldn't be so sure to be honest with you"
"Oh? How come?"
I look down, remembering the bright green orbs I feel in love with when I was only in high school. I never felt so star struck in my whole life the moment I saw him. I know once I see Harry up on that stage, I'm just going want him back even more. That's why Justin is worried, because he knows. He's not stupid, he knows that I'll just forget about him and pay attention to Harry. I'll forget everything we had over Harry. And the thought of that makes me feel very guilty.
"He's just being competitive I guess"
Danielle looks over at him and smacks her lips before turning back over to me. She places her hand over my shoulder and sighs before speaking up.
"Or maybe it's because Harry is competing as well?"
"You knew?"
"We all knew Louis, he told us during Niall's party. Liam was talking about how Justin was competing in male pageant and how we were all certain he was going to win. He even mentioned that you were going to support him. Then out of nowhere, he blurts out that he's joining too. If you ask me, it seems kind of sneaky of him"
"Y-Yeah, it does"
I looked at the broom, twirling it around while taking a few glimpses at Justin as he writes something down over the paper. Danielle stands in front of me, blocking my view of him. She crosses her arms over my chest, with a serious look over her face.
"I know you like Justin, I know there are genuine feelings between you two. But just please, please Lou, don't hurt him"
I look at her, furrowing my eyebrows together after hearing those words. She leans a bit closer to me before continuing on with what she was saying.
"I've known Justin for years, I've witnessed some things happen to him and I don't want to see him get his hopes up again, just so someone could just crush them and break him. Just because you like him back, doesn't mean it's not likely for you to hurt him. You still love Harry, I know you do. And I feel like if he gave a chance to get back to him, you would. So I'm telling you now, as yours and Justin's friend, if you know your relationship with him isn't going anywhere, then just end it..."
