Chapter 7- Lost in my mind

~GILBERT'S POV~

The next day Gilbert woke up with the biggest smile on his face. He couldn't stop thinking about Anne and their magical first kiss. He hadn't kissed any girls before. Back in Trinidad there were plenty of young girls around him, with black or blonde long hair and deep brown eyes. But still. He was thinking about Anne even back then. He wanted to experience romance with her. He could have moved on, give up on her, but he didn't, and that's what leads us to the present day.

"For God's sake Blythe won't you tell me what made you smile like a mock? Ah, I know. It was the Anne-girl, wasn't it?" Sebastian said in a teasing tone. But Gilbert was too happy to pay attention.

"Anne and I kissed yesterday." Gilbert said as he sat on a chair next to the window in the kitchen.

"Really? You've been waiting for this in a long time, haven't you?" Sebastian said trying to annoy Gilbert.

"I don't know. I mean I wanted this to happen and I really love Anne. But I don't understand. It just felt so, so.." Gilbert started saying and his smile widened even more, that you can say it would be bigger than his own face.

"Right" Sebastian finished his sentence, with a slight smile on his face.

"Exactly. It felt like it had happened before, but nevertheless, it would not happen again. How she blushed after we pulled away from each other! She was so pretty and sweet and.. and.. Hey wait a minute why am I discussing that subject with you?" Gilbert said, awakened from his daydream, and smiled teasingly to Sebastian.

"Well, looks like you should listen to me more often" Sebastian said, as he gave Gilbert a cup of tea.

"And where does that refer to?" Gilbert asked looking at Sebastian, who was now sitting in a chair next to him.

"You do realize that some months ago you insisted Anne is just a friend, right?" Sebastian said letting out a small chuckle.

"Hey, she was just a friend back then! How could I know?" Gilbert said scratching his neck.

"Oh she surely wasn't and you know it" Sebastian said, now laughing with no far.

"Whatever you say, oh you wise man, Mr. Bless You My Angel." Gilbert said teasingly.

"How can you still remember that? Won't you ever let it go? You know I have plenty of things to make fun of you for" Sebastian said, laughing as he looked at Gilbert like he was warning him.

"Well I have to go to school now, but I accept your challenge" Gilbert said as he wore his coat and took his books from the table.

"It's not a challenge" Sebastian said as he gave Gilbert an apple with a grin on his face.

"Say Mary goodbye from me!" Gilbert shouted as he went out of the kitchen.

"I sure will! Oh, and Blythe? Eat that apple, don't give it to your lovebird again. In the end, she'll hate anything related to apples."

Gilbert laughed and shut the door behind him. He couldn't wait to see Anne. Maybe after her punishment was over, he could invite her for tea at his house. It wouldn't make him cheesy, would it? There it was again, the smile that makes him look like a fool, like Sebastian said. But he didn't care. If it was for Anne, he would be a fool for a million times again.
