~ANNES POV~
Days were passing and everything seemed normal. Anne and Gilbert were perfectly fine, having the best time with each other while Josie and Billy were in the same place as them.
Anne woke up pretty early today despite the fact it was Saturday. After the event at Gilbert's house with Phillip they decided to take care of him while Bash and Mary would go to Charlottetown and buy whatever they needed plus have sometime with each other. It was Annes pleasure knowing she helped two soulmates spend more time together. Also spending time with Gilbert wasn't actually the worst thing for her as we all know.
She wore her brown dress as quickly as she could and tied her boots. She then braided her fiery hair tightly as always, letting some messy strands escape, decorating her freckled, pale forehead. She ran downstairs and, considering the fact she didn't want to be late, she quickly grabbed the toast Marilla had prepared for her, she gave a sweet kiss to each of her adoptive parents' cheeks and left taking her coat to wear it on the way. On the way to the Blythe-Lacroix residence Anne couldn't help but twirl around, her eyes never getting enough of the days beauty.
When she reached Gilbert's house, she knocked the twice and took a step back. A very delighted Gilbert opened the door, his messy dark curls bouncing as he shook his head smiling at the redhead in front of him.
"Anne, hey. Come in!" He said and opened the door wider for her to enter the house.
"Thank you Gil. How are you this absolutely exquisite morning?" She almost squealed. Gilbert chuckled at himself. Anne wasn't quite herself lately. Not that she was sad or something. She just wasn't acting the way she did when they first met. But now he could she her as clear as a day standing in front of him. The same Anne that wacked him over the head with her slate. The same passionate and fiery tempered yet sweet and romantic girl.
"I'm pretty good, thank you" He said as he gave her a soft smile. She was ready to say something but Gilbert continued.
"Bash and Mary aren't ready to leave yet so we can just relax until they leave." He added.
"That would be really nice" anne said. Her morning thoughts kicked back in. She was really happy to give two kindred spirits time for themselves, but she had to admit it was even more wonderful having time with her own kindred spirit.
They went up to Gilbert's room and told Mary to inform them before they leave so they can check on Phillip.
Anne sat on Gilbert's bed smiled at him while he leaned against the wall next to his rooms door.
"So what do you want to do?" He asked her and her smiled grew even bigger.
"Oh Gilbert I know this might sound weird but I feel like we don't talk that much anymore. You know, except from us. For random things." She said. Gilbert sat next to her and took her hand in his.
"It would be nice if we just talked indeed" he said giving her a reassuring smile. So they sat there talking about school and Charlottetown, the soirée aunt Josephine was hosting for next month and how excited Anne was to finally see one of her best friends, Cole. They also talked about a flower field Anne wanted to go and explore. In that point Gilbert reassured her he'd take her there whenever possible, filling her heart with joy.
"Hey lovebirds, we're leaving. Phillip is asleep so you can go check on him once in a while" Bash said. They both nodded, blushing at his comment about them being lovebirds. After they heard the door shut, they decided to go and sit in Phillip's room. There were two chairs in each side of the baby's rib so each sat on one. Anne looked at them baby, clear adoration in her eyes.
"How adorable, don't you agree?" She whispered to Gilbert, never taking her eyes off of the small person in front of her.
"Adorable indeed" Gilbert said, his eyes glued on eyes face. She took a quick glance of him and caught him staring so she stared back. They were both lost in each other's pleasant company, not needing anything else to feel any more complete than they already did.
"Anne I love spending time with you" Gilbert said.
"I know you do. I do too." she said smiling while suppressing a light chuckle threatening to escape her thin pink lips. She loved how Gilbert would always express her his love in every way at any given chance. It made her feel all shy and her heart would always bear out of her chest.
They stayed there, observing the calm baby for the rest of the morning, without saying a word. They didn't need to. The states between them could tell everything they needed to say.

~BILLYS POV~
Billy and Josie got even closer since the date-misunderstanding. They would find ways to go out with each other, managing to hide it from their parents. They would go to flower fields and they would climb on trees staying there for hours.
"We'll end up being more romantic than even Anne Shirley herself!" Josie once said making them both laugh.
They were now on another secret date. They had climbed in that beautiful sycamore tree in the middle of a field to watch the sunset. Josie suddenly cuddled next to Billy. He momentarily tensed but then immediately relaxed and let his arm hug her shoulders.
"Thank you Billy" she said breaking the comfortable silence between them.
"For what?" He asked turning his head to face her.
"For everything. I could say you're giving life to every little dying blossom in my heart" she said.
"How poetic Miss Josie" he chuckled and she did as well. After staying quiet for a moment, both being lost in each other's eyes, Billy finally spoke.
"And thank you" He said closing the left space between them. The kiss felt like flying to the air. After they parted Billy spoke again.
"I think we should come more often up here" he said lightly chuckling after receiving a playful punch on his forearm from Josie, who tried to hide it, but chuckled as well.
"Ugh just stop and let's watch the sunset already" she said, resting her head on his chest. He didn't answer. He just rubbed her back while he looked at the horizon, always glancing at Josie once in a while to make sure she's alright. His face got decorated with a boyish smile at the sight of Josie laying on his chest, her eyes closed, her smile so wide that it would come out of her own face.
"I love you" he whispered thinking she's asleep.
"I do too" she suddenly replied. Billy just stayed there smiling like an idiot. Oh how his feeling were growing each day he spent with her, little did he know how much more they'd grow in the future.
Hey Oof it's been so long and I'm sorry. Anyway I'll update when I'll be able, thank you for your love and support even though I'm an inactive bitch😂❤️
