After school, Anne told Gilbert and Diana she'd walk with Josie, as she asked to, and that they'll talk tomorrow. That brings us in the woods with the two girls heading back home.
"Josie, I don't want to force you to tell me what happened but, I just have to be honest, my curiosity will drive me to death!" Anne said, laughing at the latter.
"Oh Anne don't be silly! Without you I wouldn't be in the place I am right now, and I'm really grateful! Anyway so, apparently, Billy confessed his feelings about me before I could do the same and well.. We decided to go for a walk after school tomorrow to talk!" Josie said full of excitement.
"My, that's amazing Josie! I'm so happy for you both! Oh how romantical, two teenagers finally realizing their endless love for each other after such a long time of friendship! Such a tragical romance!" Anne said, daydreaming for once again.
"Anne, no offense, but whenever you talk I feel like a worthless 14 year old! How can such ideas and words come out of such a young girl! You really are unique, aren't you!" Josie said laughing and admiring her friend.
Anne felt unbelievably happy hearing Josie talk like that about her. She took Josie's hand in her and looked at her.
"You can't imagine how important our friendship is to me and how indescribably happy it makes me! You're a true kindred spirit Josie Pye!" Anne nearly exclaimed, a huge grin always decorating her face, as her ocean eyes softened. Josie's blue eyes, who reminded you of the sky, met Anne's and she smiled.
"Thank you for believing in me Anne, and for giving me a chance. Not lots of people have such a kind heart as yours. Never lose that, but be careful. Some people will try to harm you to no end. What an irony, me who bullied you for almost 3 years, giving you advices on how to protect your self from bullies!" Josie said, feeling ashamed for the latter. Anne of course noticed and squeezed Josie's hand.
"Hey, it's fine. Don't even think about it. Your my friend now, and that's what matters!" Anne said and a smile reappeared on Josie's face.
Before they could say anything else, they realized they reached Green Gables. Anne hugged Josie and turned around to leave, but Josie grabbed her wrist.
"Well you didn't tell me about YOUR tragical romance missy! Don't think you'll just get away like that, we'll talk about it tomorrow!" Josie said giving Anne a knowing smile. Anne slightly blushed with the thought of Gilbert and smiled.
"Yeah, yeah okay. Focus on Billy for now, we have plenty of time for these. Bye!!" Anne shouted laughing as she approached her house.
"Bye Anne! See you tomorrow!!" Josie shouted back laughing as well.
Isn't it great how right there where you think someone is your enemy starts becoming one of your best friends? Anne thought. She greeted Marilla and Matthew and immediately ran up to her room.
"Calm down child! Wash your hands and come down for dinner!" Marilla shouted from downstairs, trying to suppress her smile for seeing Anne that happy. Oh how she warmed her heart, it's almost crazy.
Anne obliged but did not answer. She wasn't practically thinking about Josie, but about Gilbert, for once again. At the end of the day, he was always on the edge of her mind, and she in his, but of course both of them were oblivious to how much love they had for each other. They knew they did, but this love was actual much stronger than they could imagine. Could that be a tragical romance? Even if it couldn't, Anne didn't care. As long as she had Gilbert she would refuse to have even the most tragical of romances.
Author's Note: I've been so lazy lately but I literally just walked in my house from vacation and I told myself "fuck it, im in a writing mood" and so I started writing lol. This is the result. It's extremely short but I hope the next chapter will be more interesting and full, I guess🙃 I LOVE YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT IN BOTH INSTAGRAM AND WATTPAD
