Sebastian Grey and Hunter Grey were best friends since kindergarten, since the similarity in their last names brought them closer together. They were both very successful but later on in middle school, they got involved with the wrong crowd and soon were vital members of a gang. The gang was run by two anonymous leaders who chose to keep their identities private for safety reasons. Soon Sebastian and Hunter got assigned bigger and bigger tasks and then got promoted.
It all started during their freshman year of high school. They were both very respected at Riverside High because of their bad boy reputation. One day, the two Greys got in a very serious argument. No one knew what this argument was about except them. At first, everyone thought that they were going to make up and would soon go back to being the iconic bad boy duo, but everything changed when they announced that the school would separated into two sides: the East Wing, which was led by Hunter; and the West Wing, which was led by Sebastian.
As they both divided, so did the gang. The anonymous leaders gave up their positions, handing all responsibility to the Greys. After the Greys failed to successfully lead the gang because of their lack of communication, the gang ceased to exist. Now no one knows what happened to the original leaders or what the Greys are capable of. As long as you don't interfere with how the school's being run, you don't get in trouble.
Everything changed when Scarlett Waters' family moved to California, making her attend Riverside High, where she caught the attention of the Greys.
