"Uh oh....." said Xander. "What do we do? We're hopelessly outnumbered!" Julia took out her bow.
"We try to defeat them of course," she said simply. Natalie nodded.
"It's the best way," she said. "We have to try."
The spiders charged at us. The world was a blur as war raged around me.
Natalie summoned the winds, occasionally even summoning bolts of lightning. It must be something to do with being a goddess and daughter of Zeus. Julia and Xander shot volley after volley of arrows. And I slashed and stabbed, destroying any spider in sight.
I was battling 3 spiders. It was hard, and they shot poison. Even though they were small, there was a lot of them.
One spider lunged at me. I slashed my sword at them, but I missed and it just hissed and carried on. It spits poison wired me. Taking careful aim, I used my sword like a tennis racket and hit the poison like a ball. It hit another spider.
This went on and on. Then another 5 spiders raced toward me. One spit poison at me. I deflected it. I was so busy fighting the spiders, that I didn't realize what was going to happen next.
"Celestia! Behind you!" screamed Natalie. Huh? I thought. I turned around, but I was too slow. Splash! A drop of poison hit my face. Pain seared across my face. I felt like someone was holding a hot iron there. All I wanted was for the pain to go away. It spread across my body.
"CELESTIA!!!" screamed Natalie, and the last thing I saw was Natalie standing over me, killing the spider who had spit poison at me.
Then the world went black.
"Celestia?" asked a voice. I opened my eyes. Standing there was Natalie along with my friends.
"Are you ok?" asked Julia, concerned.
I felt as if I had swallowed a bottle of glue. My stomach was roaring, and I could barely breathe.
"No...." I croaked. Natalie took the healing potion and forced some down my mouth. I gulped it up. Immediately, I felt a whole lot better. The churning in my stomach eased and then disappeared.
"Whew. " muttered.
"Better?" asked Natalie.
"Yep," I said and I got up. I was I the forest. It looked like daytime, and a sprinkle of snow had snowed last night.
"How long was I out?" I asked.
"A week," said Julia.
"WHAT?" I asked, shocked.
"Just kidding!" cried Julia, doubling over and laughing. I stared at Julia, part of me relieved, and part of me blank.
I stared at Julia.
"Seriously?" I asked.
Julia smiled.
"Yep." She said, a grin on her face. I rolled my eyes.
"How long was I really out?" I asked.
"About a day," said Natalie. I sighed in relief.
"Then today is the..."
"4th day," said Xander. I nodded. Thankfully, there still was some time. Thee more days.
"Alright then," I said. "Back to traveling!"
Me and Natalie got on our separate pegasi, and Xander and Julia both jumped in the silver chariot.
