some days i love coffee
specifically, French vanilla
it's what gets me going in the mornings
and puts my mind at peace after horrible sleep
some days i want to paint my room pastel pink
and cover my table tops in succulents
changing my comforter to white
and making my surroundings picture perfect
some days i want to buy loads of clothes
changing my wardrobe to that of a minimalist
and make all my shoes white or brown
stealing outfit ideas from the internet
but other days i want black tea
fresh from the coffee pot
hot enough to burn my mouth
even though i'll always regret the first sip
other days i am content with my low budget room
trying to decide which candle to light out of seven
rummaging through my sea shell collection
and old pictures hanging on the walls
other days i am happy to still have my jeans and tees
not feeling the effort to look my best
putting comfort first on days i need it most
smiling as i remember how much i love my old hoodie from high school
