Getting Closer

Jean's P.O.V

I am currently shopping for snacks with Mark and his girlfriend, Camilla.

I picked up some cheese puffs and maybe some soda.
I KNOW that if Athena is here with me, she would have put it back and offered to make me a chocolate and berry smoothie.

Now here I am, waiting at the bench/chair inside, Camilla and Mark currently getting everything they need.

Oh! Rob texted!

Rob: Hey Jean, haven't spoke to you in a while.

Yeah, I missed you, thank you for the flowers yesterday, they were really pretty.

Rob: No problem, How are you?

I'm fine, how about you?

Rob: Well, I feel good, I guess, a little bit dizzy, it's been my second day out of the hospital ever since I got confined.

Well, take care, okay? Don't force yourself.

Rob: Of course, I will, you too.

Hahaha, I'll take care, but of course, maybe forget to be careful sometimes, where are you?

Rob: I am at my school, we have full classes, unlike you, who only have exams.

Oh, hahaha, atleast you can use your phone while you're on school grounds.

Rob: Well, you get to hide it anyway, what's the point, well, got to go now, my teacher's bathroom break is done.

Study hard, okay? Love you.

Rob: Love you too.

"Hey Jean! Let's go" I heard a voice call out to me.

I turned around to see Mark almost out of the door of the hypermarket, whoops.

I got up and hurriedly ran for the exit, It looks weird, but all three of us still have a movie to watch, I'm not really a third wheel, but JJ had to go early.

After the movie, we went out just to see Athena and Marie just about to go inside the movie theater.

"Hey! Big sis! Hey!" Mark decided to call Athena while Camilla only walked towards them and gave her a hug.

"Well, well, well, look who's third wheeling, Hahaha" Athena stated in a joking manner.

"Hahaha, well, whatever, Marie! How have you been? Haven't seen you in this past few days in class" I asked.

"I kinda got busy with some family stuff, but atleast I got the 'Day off' today, I've been wanting to see this new horror movie, so I decided to get Athena to watch it with me since we both like the same thing" she stated.

We just had a few laughs and then parted ways.

Hm, I had such a fun day.
I decided to go home since It looks like it's about to rain...
Yup, I got it right, the moment I stepped outside the vehicle, I felt little droplets of rain on my skin.

I unlocked the door to see that mom, dad, and Jannette is not home.

I just took my shoes off, my jacket off, and then my pants off to change into loose shorts.

I turned on the television and got up to get the things that I bought, Cheese puffs and soda.

My mom was the one that woke me up from the nap that I didn't even know that I took.

"Jean, wake up, you have to try the shoes that I bought for you on, I bought it for your prom" my mom told me as she was stroking my hair.

My frizzy and messy hair, haha.

I don't know, people say that my hair is soft, but I honestly don't think so.

"Okay mom" I answered as I was getting up from the couch.

I saw the high heels that my mom bought me, Oooh, pretty.

I wore them and they fit! Behold! You better watch out Cinderella, I'm coming for your brand.

"Awe, they look so cute on you, I can't believe that my baby girl is finally growing up" my mom cooed into my hair while hugging.

"Yeah, closer to dying too" I replied.

I sound like those 'edgy' emo kids, 'Ooh, It's not a phase mom!'.

Never had to go throught THAT phase to be honest, though, I DID go through a 'Street Jejemon Gangster' phase.
Ugh, disgusting.

Athena is still teasing me about it since she saw a picture.
Oh god, just thinking about it brings me so much disappointed.

"Jean, I know that you hate wearing dresses and being girly, but you don't HAVE to be that way to attend prom, you just have to pick out the right dress for you to feel comfortable with" I didn't even realize that my mom is lecturing me about the prom dress code.

I think she saw the disgusted face that I was making when I was thinking about my 'Jeje' phase and thought that I hate the shoes.

"I know that mom, I was just thinking about something" I assured her that everything is alright...Is it though?...
