When Two Unlikely Worlds Meet, Seokjin x Normani

Chapter Seventeen

At the car, Jin takes in Normani new appearance, she now has on his mother's pink sweater over her outfit. It does little to hide her womanly curves but knows he would have to control his desire to hide her as the outfit had  now been approved by his own mother. Once Normani was settled in the passenger seat, Jin assists her with her seatbelt, placing another kiss on her lips saying, "I think both you and my mother are conspiring to bring me to an early grave." Normani laughs at his remark and tells him that no such plan was in the workings. Jin tells her that where they were headed to, he would appreciate if she would focus more on him. Sensing a twinge of jealousy in the comment, Normani nods her head in agreement saying, "ne oppa." They drive off to the center of the city, where Jin stops to pick up some coffee, tea and snacks enough to feed fifteen people before heading to a corporate building with a Big Hit entertainment logo on the side. After parking the car, Jin asks Normani to carry the coffee that they brought while Jin carries the food and snacks into the building. After getting clearance for her to enter the building at the front reception desk, Jin shows Normani to the elevator.

Normani takes note of how well decorated the interior of the building is and the high level of security, she had needed a visitor's pass to be admitted. Once in the elevator Jin asks for her help in dialing in a code to allow them to reach their destination. After dialing the code for the elevator to start, Normani laughed, with Jin turning to look at her with a questioning glance. Normani explained that the whole process had reminded her of a scene in a Mission Impossible movie sequel. They were both still laughing when they reached the floor they needed. Stepping out Jin again asked her to dial in another code to let the elevator became available for others to use, causing another burst of laughter from both. The floor they land on boasts a modern design to it and glass window divisors are used as separators of one office section to the other. Despite it being a Saturday, it was packed with activity, Jin and Normani almost run into a couple of walking workers who seemed absorbed in the documents they were both poring over, not paying attention to the oncoming traffic. Jin used a side hip thrust to push Normani closer to the wall out of their way.

They walk further inside and arrive at a hallway with regular doors with signs outside. These offices in the back had regular brick walls. Jin opens one of the doors to reveal a small cafeteria, the sign outside the door had BTS and something Normani could not make out written on it. He ushered her into the room and walked to place the food items in the refrigerator. Then places the some of the snacks in what seems to be a small pantry before turning and to help carry some of the coffee they had brought out the door. After a short walk further down the hall, Jin dials in another code to open door to a room that reveals a spacious dance practice studio. She quickly makes out the faces of the other members of BTS in the room. They were in the middle of a dance practice session. As soon as Jin stepped into the room, Suga turned towards the door saying, "hyung you're really late for practice today, did you..." He stopped mid-sentence to stare at Normani who had just walked in behind Jin with the remaining coffee in her hand. Hearing Suga pause in his speech the other members turn to see what had caused this reaction. Jungkook immediately rushes over to assist Normani with the coffee while greeting her in Korean, "annyeong noona." Normani responds and greets the other BTS members who are now slowly recovering from the initial shock and surprise of seeing her there.

The dance practice is temporarily stopped as they ask Jin and Normani questions on how she had got there, when she had arrived to Korea, how long she was staying and how come Jin had withheld her presence in the city for this long. Normani was not sure which and whose questions to respond to first and looked over to Jin for help. Jin taking their reaction in a stride and keeping the response simple, let them know she had just recently arrived but had taken sick and had been spending time with his family. Namjoon was the first one who attempted to challenge the response asking, "hyung, are you really going to glaze over the details and withhold information on us?" Unperturbed, Jin does not respond but instead changing the topic, asks how far into the practice session they had reached. Seeing they would not be getting any more details from him, the rest of the group ask Normani if she was there to watch or if she wanted to join their practice. Normani was not one to give up an opportunity to dance especially after the past few days being spent eating and not very active, appreciated the offer and agreed to practice with them.
