When Two Unlikely Worlds Meet, Seokjin x Normani

Chapter Four

"Hey, where are you? Still coming over to the party?" Khalid sent a voicemail message after not getting a response to the previous texts he had sent. Normani was headed to the party but with only Justine as a companion not the original four planned that would have included Blair, a good friend and also a personal photographer, and her best friend who had bailed out at the last minute in favor of joining on another party that was being hosted by Lauren and Ty Dolla. She had expressed her regret at not being able to attend the party to Lauren a few hours past as she had made the current party commitment with Khalid earlier in the day. It was sad knowing that Dinah Jane and Ally would be attending the party and she would miss it and them. It was still challenging to think that after spending the past six years together, it was now almost impossible to schedule a lunch date amongst the sisters on the same day. Normani decided against responding to the voice message and instead try to get to the party that had probably already started and was in full swing as the time was almost nine in the evening. Most of the time had been spent with Justine doing last minute wardrobe changes as she had broken up with her new beau and was in the midst of trying to perhaps snag another at the party tonight.

Upon arrival to the party, Normani took in the beautiful view of the garden in the front of the home and wondered what it would look like inside. She had also found out from another acquaintance in the music industry twitter updates that it was a house warming party and so had made a stop at the store to pick up some gifts to bring to the party. As they stepped out of the car and handed the key to the valet to park, they saw Khalid coming down the steps leading to the front door of the home. He quickly approached them and asked what had taken them so long to arrive, he explained he had been worried they would not have made it, even though both knew most of the parties ended rather late in the morning hours. This was a known fact, especially if there was no loud music and other unwelcome behaviors displayed by the guests attending the party in the affluent part of Beverly Hills that Bebe had purchased her new home in. They gathered their belongings and headed for the house in-step with Khalid.

Once inside, Normani again mentally took note of the beautiful decorating job Bebe had selected for the new home. It was really eye capturing and one could say captivating. The chandelier in the middle of the first room being the highlight of it all. It was indeed quite exquisite in her opinion. Several other decorative pieces caught her attention as they made their way to the living area where Bebe stood, appearing to be about to move on to another group of people to talk to. They meet her midway and stop to greet and thank her for the invitation to the party. "You know you would be welcome to any party I am hosting Normani." Bebe responded, "Unfortunately this one won't include much action on the dancing part given its intention, but we should get together and perhaps go out to party one of these days, when we have some free time in our schedules," she continued. Normani nodded in agreement and then tell her they would be following Khalid out to the garden to meet some of his other friends at the party while leaving her to continue attending to the other guests. Khalid, Justine and Normani, made their way out to the section of the garden that Khalid motioned for them to head to and recognize Shawn Mendes along with some other people standing engaged in conversation.

As Jin was in the middle of their very good conversation on the differences in the lifestyle of people in the rural area and the urban area in South Korea at the present time with hyung, he takes a glance towards the door leading to the garden to see Khalid walking towards their section of the garden with none other than Normani herself, and another young woman whom he did not recognize, in tow. One fact remained, and that was she was beautiful, even the walk she had was elegant. She seemed to walk like she was floating and with a gentle sway of her hips displaying her wonderful curves. Just then someone seemed to have called out to her and she turned back mid stride to see who it had been, this displayed that on every angle she was curvaceous and Jin lost his train of thought in the middle of the conversation and just stared at her. Hyung nudged him to ask if he was feeling okay as he had begun to blink in rapid succession before stopping to stare non-blinking in her direction. Jin remained staring at her while responding that he was okay to hyung, who also turned to see what it was that had captured his entire attention and pulled the plug on the conversation they were having previously.
