Chapter Twenty Four

Never had Normani seen a wedding planned so quickly, it had taken less than a week of planning to get every detail organized even with the holidays at hand. Her parents flew in to Seoul right before the holidays to spend it with Jin and her, her manager and other celebrities would arrive a day before the wedding, her best friend would come with Blair and her Fifth Harmony sisters three days before, for rehearsal as they would be her bridesmaids along with Justine and her older half-sisters. She had asked Jin to include Khalid and Blair in the groomsmen list that already included all the BTS members. They had selected Jin's childhood best friend and his new wife to be their best man and maid of honor. Normani had become very close with Jin's best friend's wife during her visits to Seoul, she hailed from Mozambique, Africa. Meeting by chance backstage and befriending her on one of the My Neighbor Charles shows they had done, they had become quick friends. After inviting her to a BTS show Jin's friend had attended, Normani had been the one to introduce her to his best friend. Her dress was to be designed by a designer who partnered with Wilhemina Modelling agency and was flown to Korea four days before the ceremony with a fitting specialist on standby to make any fitting changes needed. Her make-up artist would arrive the day prior to the wedding with support from the make-up artists she would use for shows she did in Korea. Press coverage was going to be the most challenging part, major fashion and celebrity news magazines had wanted to feature the wedding in their magazines and websites.

Jin could not believe that it was finally his wedding day, he was ready to have it completed as soon as possible as Normani had been getting tired easily in the recent days. Her appetite was still not the best due to the bouts of morning sickness, especially if she did not take her ginger drink on time or on an empty stomach, it seemed like she had lost some weight too. Nevertheless, she remained in good spirits after the pregnancy was confirmed by the doctor and her parents' arrival had helped improve her appetite somewhat. Her grandmother would not be able to attend the event but would be included via Skype, her doctor had reported her current health would not allow for such a long trip outside the country at such short notice. They had promised her a visit when the baby was old enough to travel. They would be doing the wedding in two ceremonies, first in the traditional Korean custom with coverage proceeds to benefit the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism endeavors, the second would be the western way with an African twist to celebrate Normani's cultural heritage. Jin hoped they would be able to get through the day without any complications.

The first part of the wedding started once Jin arrived by horse from his paternal uncle's home to the family home where the ceremony was to be held, he felt his excitement build. They had planned for that event to be held in Gyeonggi-do Province, at the paternal side family home and where Jin was born. Then they would drive to Seoul for the other ceremony to take place in the evening, he was hoping Normani would get to rest during the drive to Seoul. Normani was able to complete the ceremony without any morning sickness inconveniences, given that the hour that been selected for the ceremony was in the earlier part of the day. After the ceremony, Jin took Normani in a palanquin to his uncle's home where they prepared for the trip to Seoul. Things were taking longer to complete due to the press and most of the guests wanting to attend both ceremonies, especially the international guests who were not familiar with the traditional ceremony, wanting to witness it firsthand. Once in Seoul, it was another hectic time as they prepared for the western ceremony. Guests filled the entire venue to the extent that some other guests had to watch the ceremony via a live recording in a separate room. The only thing that took Jin's mind off the worry for Normani, was seeing her walking down the aisle towards him with her father's escort. Jin had thought she had looked positively radiant in the traditional Korean wedding outfit, but with this outfit, he found himself captivated at first glimpse. He could not believe that he was marrying the strikingly gorgeous woman headed his way, she looked absolutely stunning and Jin couldn't help but exclaim, "wow."
