A Dream Of Flying

Chapter 17

Zac had parked the car infront of the hospital, they were surprised to find two police cars there. It told her that something very awful had happened. She rushed out of Zac's car and ran over to the hospital. Zac yelled after her but she just ran inside. She had arrived infront of Jake's hospital room. ''What's going on?'' she asked as she saw two policemen. The other one was talking to the nurse.

''And you are?'' he asked suspicious.

''I'm Jake's sister, Selena Armstrong,'' she told him as she was half panicking. ''Can you please tell me what happened?'' she begged him, trying to peek inside the room.

''Actually, the nurse said she saw a dark haired girl running out of the room. She tried to choke your brother. He's alive, don't worry.'' Selena sighed out of relief and Zac had caught up with her and stood beside her. ''He's sleeping, and we'll have a one policeman here for your brother's safety. Now, is there any reason for anyone to want to kill your brother. This girl?''

''No, I haven't even heard of her.'' She suddenly stopped talking. ''Kol.'' She looked at Zac. ''That psycho,'' she mumbled. ''There was this guy was friends with my brother, he was kind of harassing me. They are not friends anymore and now he just won't give up. He's obsessed.''

''His name?''

''Kol Mikaelson,'' she stated and the policeman wrote it down. She then heard fast footsteps coming behind her, it was Elena and Stefan came after her.

''Zac called,'' she told her and wrapped her arms around Selena, and for a moment they had their arms around eac hother. ''Is he alright?'' she asked her quickly as she pulled away.

''Yes,'' Selena nodded. ''He's sleeping.''

''Thank goodness,'' said Elena and touched her shoulder.

''Actually.'' One of the nurses came. ''Jake's awake, and he'd like to speak with you all.'' They all looked at each other but nodded. They made their way into the room and there he was, lying on the hospital bed. He rose up and had his back leaned against a pillow that was by the wall.

''Jake, are you alright?'' Selena touched her brother's hand.

''I'm fine, just a little petrified but I'm fine.''

''So what happened?'' asked Stefan suspiciously with his arms folded.

''There came this girl,'' He swallowed a big lump that was in his throat. ''She looked psycho..'' he said closing his eyes, having flashbacks of what happened when she tried to suffocate him with the pillow. ' She told me to deliver Elena a message.''
