A Dream Of Flying

Chapter 14

Kol stepped near Jake's bleeding body. He bent down over him, seeing his eyes open telling him to help him. He mumbled something, something that Kol couldn't understand. He put his hand over his own ear. ''What was that?'' he whispered. ''I can't hear you..'' He bent down and whispered in Jake's ear. ''This is the kind of stuff that happens if you cross me. I'm hell and you get to live hell.'' All of a sudden Kol collapsed as he felt himself get knocked out. The man that had helped Kol was gone.

''Well, I'm hell now.'' It was Zac. He took Jake by the arm and carried him to his car and drove to the hospital. When he had arrived, the doctors came rushing towards them.

''What happened?'' one of them asked full of concern.

''He's been stabbed,'' Zac stated.

''And the attacker?''

''I think he's gone.'' He could have called the cops on Kol, but it was either that or Jake's life. And Jake was Selena's brother. 

Selena came rushing to the hospital with Elena. She went to his room and saw Zac sitting by the hospital bed. It shocked her to see Jake sleeping, it looked like he was dead. ''He lost alot of blood..'' said Zac. ''But..he'll be alright. He'll recover.''

She nodded, relieved. ''Thank god, what happened to him?''

''Or who?'' Zac asked.

''Kol.'' She rubbed her head. ''He'll never give up will he, or did the police capture him?''

''I couldn't call the cops on him, I couldn't risk Jake's life.''

''It's alright. You saved his life, that's all that matters.'' She moved closer to the hospital bed, she stroked Jake's cheek as he slept. ''Thank you.'' She looked at Zac. ''It means the world to me.''

''I know.'' He smiled. ''That's why I didn't leave him. I'll leave you with him.'' He was about to walk out of the hospital room, when he stopped in his tracks and turned around. ''I just want you to know, that you will be happy one day. Your life wont always be so hard, you just have to make sure of that yourselfm'' he told her as he smiled and walked out the doors.

Selena stood there and stared at the floor, thinking about his words. It was right, her future,her happiness..it was all in her hands.

Zac saw Elena stand up as soon as she saw him coming out out of the hospital room.

''Everything alright?'' she asked.

''Jake will be fine, what no Stefan around?''

''No..he's at school.'' She smiled.

Stefan walked into his house, and up to his bedroom. He had arrived home from school finally, all though he loved Elena he felt tired and couldn't wait to collapse on his bed and sleep. Thankfully he saw no Faye today, and really hoped that he wouldn't. He threw his schoolbag on the floor and entered his room. He looked at this bed, completely shocked. ''OH MY GOD''
It was Faye, she smiled seductively and she was in a short dress showing her thighs. Wore a red lipstick.

''Did you miss me?''

''FAYE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?''

''Come on. I know you missed me, and that you want me. Your just dating that Elena girl to forget me. But now I'm back, and you can have me.'' She smiled.

''Get out of my bed, infact..get out of my house right now!'' he ordered, shouting at her.

She rolled her eyes. ''No.''

''Get out.''

''No! You and me should be together.''

He growled and rushed toward the bed, he grabbed her arm. He didn't like it but he if he had to drag her out, then so be it. All of a sudden he heard footsteps. His eyes shot back at the door, and in the door way stood Elena.

Her eyes widened. ''So, it's like that,'' she said.

''Elena,'' he said.

''Elena...'' Faye smirked.
