With Mark breaking down all of a sudden, the group was forced to separate for the sake of comforting each other without any disagreements. Renjun was asked to look after Jaemin and Chenle, while Jisung and Jeno stayed with Mark.

Renjun brought the two outside. He composed Chenle down from crying while also listening to Jaemin who's talking about their memories with Donghyuck. Renjun couldn't help but feel bad at their situation despite just recently joining their circle. Even when he's still getting to know them, he was quite attached with how genuine they all are. Especially Donghyuck. Renjun understood why they all cherished him not just as a friend, but as a person. Donghyuck was a sweet person despite his attitude. He cared a lot and had a bright personality that lifted their mood up. Renjun felt their agony and worry upon having their friend hospitalized.

Jisung and Jeno on the other hand were busy reassuring Mark about Donghyuck's state.

"Mark, it's not your fault." Jeno told him, rubbing circles on his back.

"It's no one's." Jisung joined in. He felt guilty for getting mad at him a while ago, but it was only because he was offended that his friend here indirectly blamed the situation on Chenle.

"You guys don't get it..." Mark managed to say with his voice cracking, his sobs blocking his throat. "You just don't get it."

However, as much as Mark wanted to let them understand his situation, he didn't know where to begin in explaining it to them.

At the same time, he didn't want to ruin the past more than it already is.

Mark was now alone in going through it.

"Donghyuck..." He was the only one that Mark could run off to. The only person who understood him.

Mark should have known from the start.

Actually, he was aware, but his conscience couldn't take it. His conscience didn't want to admit that this would eventually happen. It was a huge confirmation during Donghyuck's soccer match. He got the sprain that should have happened during Sport's fest. Mark already had an idea, and he was starting to get worried ever since— but he kept on denying it and decided to shrug it off.

He didn't want to think about it because things were getting better between him and Donghyuck.

Everything was going smoothly between them.

They found love again.

They found each other.

Mark didn't know that disregarding the consequences would also make them lose each other.

But what was he supposed to do?

He knew the accident was going to happen. He knew that the child was going to lose his life. Mark had it in front of him. Was he not supposed to do anything? Even when he had the whole scene play inside his head, should he have not moved and let the kid get into an accident?
