Taehyung is crouching under an Oak tree, his face in his hands. It is almost midnight, the darkness around him enveloping him. He groans and lies down. To add to his agony, it is freezing.
All he wants is Jungkook. Except, at the same time, he doesn't, due to shame and awkwardness of confessing earlier.
He cringes as he remembers that moment.
"Taehyung, I-I'm sorry but I'm not gay."
Shaking his head, he remembers what he's actually here to do. He's on look-out for five hours of the night, and he's got four hours left.
He curses as he hears a twig crunch behind him.
He gets even more scared as he hears silence following it.
Is something going to jump out? Is it the enemy? Is he going to die?
He whimpers as he hears the same crunch of twigs, except it was closer and louder. He has three options: run, fight or hide. He rules out the second option immediately. Maybe it is just one of his allies, and it's nothing to worry about.
But his mind tells him otherwise.
Whatever he does will make noise, and possibly kill him either way.
As quietly as possible, he gently shuffles towards another giant Oak tree, constantly looking over his shoulder. The tree isn't wide enough to hide him.
All that is around him is just tons and tons of Oak trees. He looks up and shivers at his idea.
He climbs the tree slowly, squinting to see in the dark. He flinches when twig breaks off, making a loud crunch.
Luckily, nothing seems to move and no-one seems to be there.
He takes a deep breath and continues to climb, not daring to look down.
He sighs in relief as he almost reaches a stable branch where he can stay.
Someone grabs his ankle.
He screams and tries to kick the hand grabbing his ankle. The hand pulls and makes Taehyung fall off the tree.
He grabs a branch of the tree desperately, knowing that if he lets go he might injure himself badly.
He screams incoherently for help.
Then, he hears a soft voice from below him,
"Shhh! It's only me!"
Taehyung goes stiff and accidentally lets go of the branch. He falls...
... into Jungkook's arms.
Taehyung looks up at him and scream-cries. Jungkook quickly puts his hand over Taehyung's mouth and carries him away.
They reach another forest, this time filled with Pine trees, Jungkook always muffling Taehyung's yells.
Jungkook carefully places Taehyung on the ground. Taehyung gets up at once and yells,
"WHAT? JUNGKOOK YOU SCARED ME, YOU LITTLE-"
Jungkook holds Taehyung's wrists and pulls him to sit down again. He whispers,
"I'm sorry. I missed you." He intended to say this to calm Taehyung down and comfort him, but it actually takes the opposite direction.
Taehyung stands up again angrily, "Stop it," he growls.
Jungkook, confused, asks, "What?"
"Stop saying things that make me more attracted to you!"
They both stay silent for a while.
A devil flashes in Jungkook's eyes. This is revenge for Taehyung almost killing him.
He stands, leans over to angry Taehyung and plants a gentle kiss on his cheek. A smirk creeps on his face when Taehyung flushes a bright red.
Though Taehyung tries not to smile, he can't stop the corners of his mouth flickering up into a slight grin.
That slight grin fades into a furious frown.
"I told you to stop!" he cries, burying his face in his hands.
