The day is finally here. The first day of high school. Am I excited for it? I guess so. Am I terrified of what will come? Absolutely. This day could be the best or worst day of my life, depending on how I make it.

After taking over an hour to do my hair and makeup, I'm ready to leave. I don't want to look like the stupid freshman that cares about what she looks like all the time, but today I do.

I have to make a good first impression of myself on everyone. Not that they care, but I do.

Right before I leave, I take one last look at myself. I don't look too bad. I guess thats what happens when you wake up way too early to get ready. I promise myself right then and there that I would never do this again.

Walking through the doors for the first time was extremely overwhelming. This place is huge, and I could easily get lost. My mind starts racing, but I'm quickly pulled away from my thoughts.

"Alison!" Someone screams from behind me.

I know that voice. I would know it anywhere.

"Hey Sabrina!" I turn around and give my best friend a hug.

We walk to homeroom together, and end up seeing our other friend Haylie. The first 10 minutes of the day are going pretty well. Hopefully the rest of the day is the same way.

As soon as I get home my mother is asking me a hundred and one questions. "How was your day?" "Did you see all your friends?" Do you think youll like high school?" Ugh. This is just too much.

"Good. Yes. Well see." I reply making her more curious than before.

"Are you sure about that?" She asks. God she cares too much sometimes.

"Yes mother I'm sure. I'm just tired I guess." I answer leaving to go to my room.

My day was fine. It wasnt perfect, but it went alright. I didnt get lost, and I have friends in every one of my classes. My teachers seem okay, and my classes dont seem too hard. I guess I just thought high school would be different. I thought I'd walk in and see a bunch of cute football players with their cheerleader girlfriends. I thought no one would care about anything, and we'd get to do whatever we want. I thought the food would be much better than in middle school. Well clearly none of this is reality. Tv really makes high school seem much better than this. But I will be fine. They say the first day is always the hardest. It will get better as time goes by. At least I hope.

After being in school for a month, I was ready to get out. I always had so much work to do, and there were some people I was already annoyed with. High school is definitely not all it's cracked up to be, but that quickly changed.

The day started off normal. Doing worksheets in math, reading books in english, and learning about dead people in history. Pretty much what my every day consists of in school. Today was different though.

As I was walking to class, I was totally caught off guard.

"Hey!" An unfamiliar voice screamed.
