When I got home from school, I was very confused. Things with Ethan and I seemed to be going really well, and then all of a sudden it was like I was nothing to him.
I know we aren't dating or anything, but it definitely was a little more than nothing. At least I would hope so considering what has been happening lately.
I decided to text Aubree, hoping she'd be able to help me.
"Girl come over. I can't be alone with only my thoughts."
"Alright I'll be over in ten." She responded.
"Thank you. See you soon."
I only had ten minutes to get my room clean, so I started right away. My room is never too messy though. I would go mentally insane if that was the case.
I finished cleaning just before she got here.
"Hey! Is everything okay? You seemed upset." She said, sitting down.
"Honestly I don't know right now. I said.
"Well talk to me. What's been going on with him?"
I begin telling her about my eventful week, trying not to leave out the juicy details. I watched her jaw drop multiple times as I talked about everything.
"You're kidding right?" She asked when I was done.
"I wish I was kidding." I laugh.
"This is insane. So you guys went from being on great terms to you not knowing what's going on?" She asks.
"Pretty much. And that's what I hate most about this whole thing. Everything was perfect, and then randomly they got super weird." I say.
"Honestly girl I don't know what to tell you. Have you talked to him since you got home?"
"He texted me, but I haven't responded yet. I just don't even know what to say to him." I frown.
"Wait what did he say?" She asks me.
"Well we were talking about our day today and what happened. So he just asked for the thousandth time if I liked our makeout session." I say.
"And you haven't responded? But you did like it?" She says, clearly confused.
"Yeah I know I liked it, but I just don't know what to say now. Like he completely just left me hanging, and now he's totally normal again. It just kind of makes me feel like he doesn't want people to know about whatever this is." I say, getting a little upset.
"I get that. But if you don't respond he's going to think you actually didn't like it, and that would not be good at all."
"That's true. What should I actually say though?"
"Something cute. Something flirty. Something fun." She says, winking at me.
I love this girl. She's always so fun to be around. The greatest thing about her is that she doesn't try to act like my mom. She lets me make my own mistakes. Actually most of the time if I make mistakes she's right there with me.
"Oh my gosh Aubree." I say, staring at my phone.
"What what?" She asks.
"He's literally so confusing." I say.
"What did he say?"
"He just told me to come to the gym so we can hang out. He said all his friends are gonna be there, but he's probably going to be bored. He wants me to come so we can 'have some fun' ugh I just don't know what to do." I say, putting my head in ny hands.
